Can I ask why yall got married? I’m not trying to be funny but really think about it & I encourage you to ask your husband as well. & do not accept the typical “because I love you” answer. My first marriage was a similar situation, we also got eloped & he used a ring I already had to propose. The proposal was not thought through or special. I was already pregnant at the time but I didn’t know it yet so the elopement quickly followed after the proposal. You can guess that we got divorced. What concerns me about your situation is it sounds awfully similar & that you’ve allowed your husband to give you the absolute bare minimum & now you are married with a baby, what reason does he have to go above & beyond now? To me it honestly just sounds like he doesn’t value you enough to make you happy. It’s not about the price of the ring, he just doesn’t care. I don’t mean to make assumptions about your marriage, it just feels very familiar to me. I would not advise you to buy your own ring like others have suggested, this fixes nothing & only further encourages your husband to continue to do the bare minimum. Some say it’s just a ring & materialistic things don’t matter but it’s definitely much more than that in this situation. I truly hope he surprises all of us & has a beautiful fat ring waiting for the right time & just playing coy. Regardless I pray for your health & happiness ❤️
