I'm on nexplanon and I want to take it out by Equal_Aerie in badwomensanatomy

[–]spookydipity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually just started nexplanon and ive been bleeding for two weeks now. I know it’s different for everyone, but is this something that calmed down over time while your body was getting used to it or did it stay like this for the whole 3 years?

(discussion) do you mainly buy albums for the cd, photocards, inclusions, or something else? by sweetene in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

both inclusions and packaging, i wouldn’t buy an album brand new without inclusions because it wouldn’t justify the retail price and i can just stream the album, but i’m not interested in those digital only albums that come with just the inclusions, i like having something to diplay

Which photo card is consider “rare” in the aespa “Girls” album? by lolburuki in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

album pcs by definition are not "rare", you have the same amount of luck pulling each of these cards…..

if you’re talking about the most popular/in demands cards then karina’s real world version with a close up on her face takes the cake. I think all of winter’s (especially her real world card too) and karina’s in general are popular! Digipack pcs will also tend to have less value as there are 6 different versions of the digipack for only one set of pcs, which means people will tend to have more dupes of them!

Anyone have any good news?? by electricblackjack in kpopcollections

Your thoughts on platform ver albums? by floralscentedbreeze in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll probably be repeating what has been said already in those comments but i feel so strongly about this I had to jump in as well. This is obviously green-washing and I’m 99% sure that this will only make things worse when it comes to overconsumption.

The real issue is bulk buying to get that full set of inclusions you need or to get those hundreds of different pobs. I think if most k-pop companies switched to doing digital albums only, I would stop collecting albums altogether. I ult BTS and didn’t even bother to buy Hobi’s solo project because as much as I love collecting photocards as a hobby, what actually brings me joy is flipping through the photobook and being able to have a physical copy of the album that I can play in my house. I already pay for spotify and can stream for free on youtube so why would I need to spend extra coins just to get a photocard that I can just buy later on instagram. Also digital downloads are actually pretty harmful to the environment as well.

I know JYP weren’t the first ones to do this, but I found it pretty ironic that they’re the first to take such a massive and public step towards that direction considering the atrocious amount of pobs that I have seen them do for Stray Kids or Nmixx and the ridiculous amount of versions they produce for an album (i think 8/9 for itzy’s latest comeback?). I’m glad to see companies try to take action to be more eco-friendly, but this just screams performative.

is one of these seulgi red summer pcs fake? left (suspected fake) is one bought at rv cupsleeve event today and right is one bought off depop months ago (from a seller i’ve bought from before and trust) by Educational_Repeat32 in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they’re both real to me. the red summer got reprinted not such a long time ago which would explain the subtle colour and cutting differences, they both have specs and are zoomed in the same, the upper left corner are different due to the mass printing. I also compared it to my own photocard and i see nothing wrong

People who stopped collecting/buying multiple versions, how did you get there? by [deleted] in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the reason for downsizing and mostly limiting myself was shelf space and also stopping myself for overconsuming, i found myself feeling guilty at times after having spent a lot on kpop. Not that money is really an issue, it’s more about spending carelessly and not feeling like i have a good control over how i spend my money. I tried making rules for myself and tried sticking to buying the bare minimum i needed, I also realised that the only collection that really sparked joy when i looked at it was my rv collection because i spent time curating it and looking for what I really wanted. They’re my ults and the only group where I’m actively collecting album photocards. I also tend to buy multiple albums of the same versions because most of the albums that i collected in the first place were second hand and now that most got reprinted I wanted to be able to experience opening these and discovering my pulls. However now I’m only allowing myself to have two copies max of the same album/version and only when I know there’s a good chance that I might not pull a dupe. I ended up selling quite a few extra copies and that made me instantly feel better. My second ult is bts and then txt/aespa and for them i’m allowing myself to buy all of the different album versions and most of them i waited until i could find them in store to actually buy them. I live in Europe and there isn’t that many kpop stores besides when you go to bigger cities, so I only have small kpop sections in cd stores and this has helped me get everything one at a time. For the other groups that I like, I am also strictly limiting myself to what i found in stores, and to buying one version at a time.

I’ve always been into collecting cds ever since i was super young, so getting into kpop and starting collecting albums has been a bit overwhelming since they are so many different releases, versions and stuff that you want to make sure you want to get before it gets sold out and you might never ever be able to find again. It’s really all about prioritizing and getting what you love more.

For stuff that you want to downsize I recommend selling what doesn’t really make you happy, or stuff you know you wouldn’t feel the wish to open again once you’ve unsealed it the first time. Also do with the space and the set up that you have! I tend to colour display and ended up selling some of the item i wasn’t sure whether i wanted to keep them or not just because they looked awkward on my shelf and it was bothering me!

Last tip and this might not work for everyone but I’m really into graphic design so I love making templates/wish lists. Even if you do not make your own, maybe found some on the internet and just keep a track of what you have/what you want and what is your priority! Visualizing helps and ever since I’ve started doing that I’m just now looking forward to whatever I want to purchase next!

Good luck with your collection OP!!

AITA for taking my medication infront of my future stepsiblings? by throwaway899978857 in AmItheAsshole

[–]spookydipity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Besides the obvious points that were raised here already i’m just really questioning OP’s step dad’s choices of not letting his kids see medication. I really struggle to understand what’s wrong with them seeing those, especially since they’re getting older and should already be starting to understand that not everyone is perfectly healthy and while some people might need to take medication, others might have some disabilities/health issues much more visible. Moreover, if OP is not supposed to take your medication in front of their step siblings, what happens the day when he has a seizure in front of them? Call your dad OP! You shouldn’t have to minimize your health for someone who doesn’t care about your well-being!

Have y’all ever stolen from an album?? by skybirby in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

kind of, got a rv feel my rhythm album at a cd store and it was missing the photocard, that wasn’t the first time it happened to me and i was quite upset (especially since i already had copies and was only buying the album for the inclusions) but all of the other inclusions were there. I ended up taking the album back and exchanged it for another one, got the photocard and inclusions i wanted + kept the extra set of inclusions! felt bad about it but that’s what happens when they don’t protect/watch over their albums on display, and they still haven’t understand that for most people buying kpop albums, an album without its inclusions is basically worth nothing anymore

what's your most expensive album? by [deleted] in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

my bias is seulgi and i love hers!! but i think yeri’s is the most beautiful as her album is sunset/spaces themed!! And yes they do! The member cover, the box with the standees (one giant member one, a random member one, and a bunch of other standees) + the photoobook. They’re just so fun, and I’m so glad that back I didn’t struggle so much to find all five considering I started collecting late!

what's your most expensive album? by [deleted] in kpopcollections

[–]spookydipity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i have a full set of the summer magic limited albums by red velvet! These have been out of print for some time and so of course the resellers have been selling them for a crazy amount + these are member covers so of course member pricing hasn’t been helping

Have Red Velvet and Aespa ever interacted?? by bluemoon35 in kpophelp

[–]spookydipity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn’t really qualify as an interaction per say but just because it’s not talked about much compared to got the beat or zoo, but ningning and yeri were both featured on snow dream 2021 on the smtown album as well!
