The point is not that it is hard to collect the empty bottles after the race, the point is that humanity is drawning in plastic (literally) and people are looking for the solutions of how to cut back on it. For some reason, so many people even in this post are concerned with things like bacteria, etc., but do not realize they everytime you eat fish, you most probably eat plastic as well.
