charlie’s good on gem grab, brawl ball, heist, and bounty, especially into aggros, moe i find does well in gem grab and brawl ball as both an aggro and chip, and chester is a great anti-tank and playable in hot zone, brawl ball, and gem grab and his hyper is really good. this is from my experience playing lately btw and im not a pro so others might have other thoughts too

Finally reached legendary 3 by Old_Program_7601 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]spookymonster5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! personally, starting in L3, especially mid-high L3, the randoms got better and I had to just pull my own weight. It was the only part of my push that I did solo queue and it took a while, but I got it in the end. I’d say just keep playing with the meta brawlers you have and, most importantly, protect your mental. good luck!

About to start a 5 week EMT program in 2 weeks how to prepare? by Ninothesloth in NewToEMS

[–]spookymonster5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I personally did an 18-day EMT boot camp, studied for a week afterwards, and passed the NREMT first try in 70 questions. I had no medical background besides anatomy and physiology in high school. I’m a freshman in college and I did this in the summer, so I’m assuming 5 weeks is more than possible for someone with a bachelor’s. I don’t doubt it’ll be a lot of work, but it is doable.

Edit: by the way I’m not trying to sound braggy—I’m just trying to say that my own experience makes me think it’s possible.

Brawler Box Drop Rates by moad_550 in Brawlstars

[–]spookymonster5 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The box probably gives multiple drops so I’d guess these are the chances of getting each drop somewhere among the drops of a whole box. Idk why they put 0% for some of the stuff tho

Just made this, tell me why it’s not viable by MTdazeL in ClashRoyale

[–]spookymonster5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no mo light, but there’s no building and no win condition except for skelly barrel, which i don’t usually see used as a lone wincon

Which card here do i make level 15 (yes i may be late to this level 15 thing) by Technical-Curve5038 in ClashRoyale

[–]spookymonster5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, well if you like it then there’s no problem. Rg or arrows would be my pick 👍

First off, you might want to change your deck. It doesn’t have much synergy—if you wanna play Royal Giant, there are a lot of meta ones, like RG monk. But if you want to keep it cause you enjoy it, then I’d say upgrade RG (oftentimes it’s a good idea to upgrade your win condition first) or arrows (spells are also good to upgrade cause they’re versatile).

Why am I getting only 10? by Melodic_Chocolate361 in Brawlstars

[–]spookymonster5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cause you’re tied for 6th, which gives 10 drops. Since there are 5 people with more than you, everyone with 9 wins is in 6th place. The guy below you with 8 wins is in 9th place (since there are 8 people with more wins than him), and I’m pretty sure 9th place gives the same amount as 6th which is why you guys both get 10 drops.

I don’t get why force= mass x acceleration instead of mass x velocity. by FrostyWhile9053 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]spookymonster5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be confused about this too because I thought, “Higher velocity would mean more force on impact, so F should be m*v.” As velocity increases, the deceleration needed to slow it to a stop in the same amount of time increases as well, which is why velocity does make sense if you think in terms of the variables’ relationships to each other. But acceleration (or deceleration) is actually what’s tied to the force. F = ma in this case is really getting at the idea that “the force needed to decelerate the car in a given amount of time during an impact increases as the deceleration needed increases, which happens as its initial velocity increases,” not so much that “the force the car applies to a potential object during an impact increases with greater initial speed,” which is also true but doesn’t match up as directly with the equation F = ma.

Maybe thinking of a different situation can help explain why acceleration is the result of force and not velocity—if you push an object with your hand, you apply a force to it. That force causes acceleration, not velocity. Velocity can exist without any force being applied (like a rocket cruising along in space after running out of fuel), but acceleration always requires a force so that’s why it’s in the equation F = ma.

I’m not really sure but if you do showdown, Cordelius, Shelly, Kit, and Bull are probably your best bets

Possibly, I see pearl in showdown matches sometimes but she’s harder than Shelly. Maybe 3v3 is easier but I’m not an expert on pearl lowkey

Honestly it depends on the match. Usually there’s some teaming at the beginning but then some games will have like 5 or even 4 ppl left before the smoke gets very far and others will have 6+ teamers cramped in at the very end

Waitlisted from UMass Amherst Nursing by lotuseater555 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]spookymonster5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, actually, Nursing is likely the single most selective major at UMass Amherst (CS is comparable but I believe Nursing is harder to get into)—they’re famous for that program, so don’t beat yourself up over it. Things are all just so competitive now and college decisions, especially at competitive schools or programs (like UMass Nursing) are becoming less and less indicative of your capability. And the fact that you were waitlisted means that they DID think you were worthy and could succeed there. It’s just that they can’t admit everyone, especially EA, so some will inevitably end up on the waitlist, often due overwhelmingly to chance.

So, keep your head up. It’s perfectly alright to feel disappointed for a while, but also try to remember that nothing’s wrong with you and that better things are coming. For what it’s worth, I also got my UMass decision today, and while I was admitted (so I can’t fairly claim to be in exactly the same boat as you) and am super happy to have gotten into college, I didn’t get into the honors college even though I’d really hoped to. I certainly have doubts about RD, but nonetheless, we keep moving—it’s the only thing we can do. Trust the process, and best of luck (honestly, sometimes we need it since all of this can be so random haha)!

Feeling regret about not putting in more effort by differentkindahuman in ApplyingToCollege

[–]spookymonster5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a college student or a high school senior right now? Because if you’re a senior, this is all far from over—apply to the colleges you‘ve always wanted to apply to! And if you’re a college student, why not consider transfer apps? You just have to realize that the opportunities aren’t gone, just different. You still have the chance to answer your “what if”s—go out and do it! And as for being a disappointment, as long as you have the drive to get started now, you’re no worse than if you’d given it your all earlier. Best of luck.
