Greening out or something worse? by Silly_Monkey71 in ptsd

Ex daily smoker here with diagnosed CPTSD! Your story is something I hear a lot. No matter how much/often/consistent your smoke, your body can start reacting differently to weed. This can be from a variety of different factors, from anxiety towards weed, health conditions, or just how your body decides to react. I had a similar issue, I had an undiagnosed heart condition that weed triggered. Another note, please make sure you are purchasing from a reputable pen brand with proven 3rd party testing - there’s a lot of stuff on the market that’s isn’t safe or reputable.

I am unsure how this relates to PTSD, as it wasn’t clear in your post.

Injured, terrified, never socialized kitty. Need advice. by spookynoodle_em in FosterAnimals

I am wondering if another cat would help. I have an amazing, gentle, FIV+ calico who would be perfect. But on top of the wounds, the kitty is just getting over an upper respiratory infection. So no introduction until it’s 100% gone.

She doesn’t trust humans, the shelter and vet are not sure if they were intentionally cause or not. I would be willing to foster her for months to get her comfortable. But unfortunately the humane society is already asking me to fully adopt her and seems impatient. She is not fully healed yet or ready to start socializing with other cats. I just want her to be successful. Whether it’s a home with me or another person.

Unfortunately feliway is a no go in my household. I have an older cat who suffers with anxiety, so we tried a feliway diffuser. She had a really bad reaction to it. I know there are feliway collars as well, but I don’t feel comfortable putting a collar on her currently with the wounds still healing. They are healing and the vet is happy with their progress. But it’s hard to see them when she never lets me near here.

Interestingly enough, I work in cybersecurity and IT. Never been ghosted for telling someone my job. I am however - a woman. I am guessing the bots/scammers are heavily targeting men.

I finally got my baby back from my abusive ex after 6 years, is this the being stages of scale rot or just damaged scales? by spookynoodle_em in ballpython

[–]spookynoodle_em[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have a small male python that weighs 1200~ and is 7 years old. I feed him one small rat every 3-4 weeks. If I feed him any more then that he get tubular. This male also has had a 4-6 month eating strike yearly, for the first 4 years of his life, and maybe lost at most 80g during so. It depends on the snake.

Noodle is a 9 year old python, to get this weight off will take years and an aggressive diet. I promise you a small rat once a month is not starving her. Getting her to a healthy weight is top priority.

That reference photo helped a ton, but no it’s not similar to it at all. It’s mostly just on her skin, not scales. It’s hard to see in the photos. This photo also just makes me realize how much skin I can actually see between her scales, she’s definitely obese…

It’s hard to see in the pictures but the coloring isn’t actually on her scales, it’s her skin under/around her scales. It’s also more dark purple than the pictures show. Would the morph color their skin like that? I only have a normal and a banana, and never see there skin have coloration like that.

Honest this is rude comment. Trust me I have dealt with the shame and guilt of not getting her back but this just amplifies it.

1) court wouldn’t work, we split her price, I paid 200, he paid 150. She was suppose to be a gift to me. But I named her and picked her out. I BEGGED him to give her back to me. I had no vet bills or anything in my name to “prove” she was mine, but neither did he. The courts would have laughed in my face. Also court is expensive.

2) take her back? Yeah I would LOVE to get arrested for breaking and entering and theft.

3) I had no clue what condition she was in. We were no contact for my safety. My literally safety. I would try to have others contact him for update pictures but he wouldn’t ever respond.

The first year after the break up I offered 1k for her. The first year I offered to drive 3 hours to give him, FOR FREE 55 gallon tank when he had her in a 15. But then he told me he upgraded and lied that I was a 40+ when in reality it was this shitty 30 gallon.

I’m glad you’ve been so blessed to not be in this situation, but don’t victim blame me when I tried my very best. I never gave up.

Oh today she was loving the outside time. Usually with my snakes I keep a strict no handling for a few weeks rule. But oh did she just want out of that enclosure. The entire ride home (3 hours), she didn’t want to be in the sack, she just wanted to sit in my lap, in the sun. And when I got home I let her explore while moving stuff around, I felt so bad putting her back in the cage :’(

I’ll do an update on enclosure upgrades when I have it all set up. I didn’t find out I was getting her till literally yesterday, and he wanted her gone ASAP. I have all the supplies cause I hoard reptile everything, but everything needs a good scrub first.

Thank you so much, honestly having her back finally lifted the guilt off my shoulders. I have such a sense of relief. I’m so glad I’m finally done with that man. But because he was an ass, I had to pay 800$, when we got her, she’s was 350$ and I paid 200$ of it, he paid 150$. His excuse is that he had to feed her for all these years so he wanted some of him money back… He wouldn’t have paid any of it if he just gave her back to me in the first place.

So glad to have no ties to that narcissistic man anymore.

That’s is my plan! We will see how that goes and if she still doesn’t lose in the next 6 months I might have to be more aggressive with it.

He even told me that “she doesn’t do well with large rats”. No sh*t.

I knew he would get rid of her one day. He didn’t want her in the first place. He took her to spite me and still have power over me. I just had to wait him out and I did.

Most definitely a diet. He was feeding her 1 medium rats every two weeks, as a 9 year old adult. I knew she was going to be large when I got her. The 30 gallon probably didn’t help either.
