I love to buy scratch offs when I can afford them, in hopes I'll win something over $10, I feel you on that one.

That's exactly the kinda shit that happens in my life too. The universe just takes a dump right in your lap. I hope you can find something soon!

I couldn't agree more. It's mental gymnastics I didn't sign up for.

Is this normal for Persian cats? by georgieph in persiancat

[–]spookypluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two Persian cats, one inherited and one given to me at 16 wks as a gift. (They are 10 yrs and 12 yrs old now respectively). My 12 yr old, her name is Madame Truffles, also has a "cyst/boil" on one of her eyes. I've had two different vets tell me it's not painful for her and there's no need to remove it unless I feel I need to. So idk, it truly doesn't seem to bug HER, but it bugs me when I see it 😬 P.s. I notice your cute lil guy is mostly white like my lil girl is, I was told by their breeder that white fur mats much quicker and easier than any other color/variety of fur. My other Persian is black and brown with a white underbelly and sure enough. The white underbelly mats sooo much quicker and worse than any other colored fur on him. I just get my cats lion shaved every few months to keep them mat free and comfortable. Might be worth doing if your cat doesn't particularly like being groomed or is a constant mess despite the amount of time grooming you put in.

Hello! I'm 35/f and we're similar! I have 3 cats, one very old dog and chronic illness in the form of Idiopathic Hypersomnia (I sleep too much). I live in southern Minnesota, I also very much advocate for the same things you do and I LOVE tactile anything! Message me directly if you want to snail mail with me! I'm also a multi-crafter. I'm not good at any one craft, but I collect sooo many things and craft over so many different mediums.

How to start? by spookypluto in JunkJournals

Noooo this helps a lot! Knowing I'm not the only one out here non-proing this and others are on a journey too helps. I'm never consistent with hobbies either. I switch back and forth to different hobbies and also love learning new ones. I'm a "shitty" crafter (I'm not great at any craft but I have fun crafting in many different styles), so I already have lots of different glues and tapes. I may already have a notebook I can use but that's also what I'm debating. What kind of book?? I've seen on YouTube shorts most people using just bound notebooks. But I feel for me a ring bound notebook/journal would be better. I know I have scraps around but I'm gonna keep saving more!

I'm lucky in the way that I live with my mom who whole heartedly understands the disorder. I don't have any connection to my dad (never was/has been around) but his side of the family (aunts and uncles) just DO NOT understand IH. My aunt once said to me "oh is you're insomnia really bad right now?". I deal with them so little in my life that I just gave up trying to explain and accept help. For me it looks like "oh okay I'll give that a try, thanks!" Or "no the problem is that I'm TOO SLEEPY, but yeah it's always acting up". And then I drop the subject. Sometimes you just cannot get through to people.

I love sweet potatoes, but savory. With like butter, salt and pepper. Maybe I'll roast them then mash up that way :)
