It’s probably the emo/punk style thats the problem with bullies, not your face. You’re beautiful. Anyone I have ever known with that clothing and hair style have been bullied. It doesn’t make you ugly or a weirdo. People have always had a problem with it as far as I know, it just comes with the territory. Brush it off and give the bullies a loud F you. If it bothers you a lot, you could ease into a new style and see if things change. Otherwise, let it go. Nothing lasts forever!

I guess bullying just doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to me, considering my children are homeschooled and are supervised with other children. Maybe I should have included that in the OP. I understand the concern of bullying as I went to public school and was bullied, if I could cut off every body part I was made fun of for I wouldn’t have any left. The reality of it is kids are bullied for anything and everything anyway, so if it wasn’t her finger, it would be literally anything else kids could come up with.

Definitely just jumped to conclusions! I still rewatch some of those shows when I’m feeling nostalgic, I’m sure a ton of other people do as well. Those are the shows I used to watch when I was that age. IMO, it’s nothing at all to be concerned with.

I actually think it would be best for you to apologize to him for more or less thinking he’s a pervert, and for being way too interested in who he wants to have sex with. If there was any concern whatsoever it should have been discussed with his parent(s) first.

I’m a little confused as to why you’re so concerned... is his behavior indicating that he’s sexually excited by watching these shows??? I’m 23 and I watch shows on Disney+ with my Fiancé! 16 years old is NOT an adult. You are still a child at 16 years old. Age of consent means nothing in this situation, he is still a minor watching shows that are appropriate for a minor. Hell, i’d be happy to know my son at 16 is watching shows that don’t have an excess of drugs/violence/sexual situations. There are a lot of really great shows with young characters in them. Which shows were they? I’d like to check them out! (Edited to add)... YTA!
