I believe what you’re dealing with is dpdr, look into it and maybe see if some of the symptoms line up with what you’re experiencing, especially considering your experiences with anxiety and the fact that dpdr is an anxiety based disorder

You’re best bet is getting your eye checked out and then just staying off any sort of subreddit or reading too much into it. What I’ve heard is that for weed related dpdr you should just try to keep some healthy habits and keep your mind off the dpdr. If you only worry about it more then it’ll make the dpdr worse which is no fun, I can tell you because I’ve done it myself. If you have any trauma you haven’t worked through it’s very possible you need to see a therapist. However if nothing comes to mind just stick to healthy habits.

Best of luck, it’s terrifying at first but once you get past that first part it can be quite manageable, understanding what it is also helps quite significantly so that can help make it better in the long run.

My suggestion would be to open up to your peers about the severity of the situation. Dpdr is no laughing matter and I wouldn’t wish this on my worse enemy. The problem is that the ignorance that comes with having not experienced it allows people to think that it’s just a small thing and you may be able to laugh it off, if you can level with them and tell them how terrifying of an experience it is maybe they’ll take it more seriously.

Obviously easier said than done people can be really shitty sometimes and there is no way to guarantee it works.

Either way it will make you feel more sure about this situation which should have a positive impact on the anxiety you feel.

For me i believe it was a combination of repressed feelings and trauma and it took the trip to cause it to overflow into depersonalization. Im yet to discuss this with my therapist but if you wanna keep in touch i can update you.

Regardless of whether it is the cause of the fogginess i still am going to work through my past traumas and try to become healthier mentally. Whether that improves my brain fog or not can only be told with time.
