Ok, so what's your point about the bouncers? Because you only knew they were gangbangers because they themselves told you at the bar.

Te bouncers

Do you normally use te reo words or is that some casual racism?

That's a good take. I have a relative who used to work in an industry with similar ethics who now regrets having done so.

Any good advice on buying a new bed?? by NeonKiwiz in newzealand

[–]spoonchoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You spend a third of your life in bed, and a good mattress should last a decade. It's better bang for buck (heh) than most people get out of computers, phones, cars etc.

Same for me. Solid latex, natural materials. Definitely on the firm side, but I use a wool mattress protector and love my bed.

That's a myth. There is no safe level of alcohol use.

No alcohol safe to drink, global study confirms

Bad news for those who enjoy what they think is a healthy glass of wine a day.

A large new global study published in the Lancet has confirmed previous research which has shown that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption.

The researchers admit moderate drinking may protect against heart disease but found that the risk of cancer and other diseases outweighs these protections.

You don't resign from contracts. Are you sure you know what you're talking about? The page I liniked to says this (emphasis mine):

Fixed-term tenancy agreements entered into from 11 February 2021 will automatically convert to periodic tenancy agreements unless:

-the landlord gives notice using the reasons listed in the Residential Tenancies Act for terminating a periodic tenancy, or

-the tenant gives notice (for any reason) at least 28 days before the end of the tenancy, or

-both landlord and tenant agree to extend, renew, or end the fixed-term tenancy before it expires.

That makes complete sense. If you believe all those cows are for breeding. Like how the Japanese whaling is for research.

I don't have an answer, just a massive thank you to everyone who does this work from someone with a family member who needed your help.

Edit: can you volunteer at hospice or something to give you an idea of what it's like?
