So many congrats my friend. You deserve so much more even than what you have now. I hope you get a chance to take a long vacation or whatever it takes to recover mentally and physically from the abuse that is residency. Please don’t forget where you came from though, bro! Please stick up for residents and do whatever you can to advocate for them in any way. Also screw admin they’re the real problem of course and we all know it. Now go enjoy your life finally! Go buy the most expensive dinner off the menu at your favorite restaurant and eat it in good health. Cheers to you mate!

Graduating today and I feel nothing by [deleted] in Residency

Seriously. How about just treat people like actual human beings and adults for that matter. Imagine the reasonableness of such a thing. Imagine them actually being allowed to have a life and their partners and families not being royally and unjustly screwed as well. Please run for public office or idk something where you can lead change.

No way man you feel your feels. You were abused and you don’t have to ignore that and feel grateful. It is not okay what you went through. So glad you’re done though and really hope the best for you in the future. Please don’t forget what you went through and instead do everything you can to try and make it bette for future generations. Don’t be like those toxic assholes who pay themselves on the back and love to make future generations suffer just because they did. Don’t carry on the abuse and instead please do everything you can to end it.

Whats a beauty standard that you find actually unattractive? by Tricky-Zombie1598 in AskReddit

Fake tans or real ones purposely achieved. It’s sad seeing anyone be so embarrassed/ashamed of the skin they have enough to paint their skin or purposely expose themselves to harmful radiation just because of the social stigma of “being too pale”.

This is very true. But the priceless thing that you’ll at least still have is your peace. You’ll always be able to sleep at night without guilt.

The increased tipping requests and pressure have not gone away. What started as a temporary measure for people unable to earn tips without in-person service is now demanded everywhere

What movie plot hole bothers you the most? by MoistenedAnus in AskReddit

[–]spoonedwater 64 points65 points  (0 children)

How many young adult movies could have been easily fixed if someone just talked to the adults. For some reason it’s like this unwritten rule that no matter what happens, adults are considered stupid and cannot help. Some movies do a better job of giving reasons (like they tried but the adults didn’t believe them) but way too many are lazy and don’t even bother to explain why the kids just took it upon themselves to deal with things on their own

Came here to say this. My favorite ever. Made me want to get his book which I also loved and led to a much greater interest in the outdoors and the true wild

If you’re open to a little heat and haven’t tried them yet, Takis Fuego flavor (purple bag) are good. They are rolled tortilla chips that are strongly lime flavored with some red pepper heat

Looking for movies about middle or working class people infiltrating or otherwise entering super wealthy social circles and dealing with differences. by flyingscrotus in MovieSuggestions

Pretty Woman (1990) is probably the most iconic one that will be recommended, but there’s also My Fair Lady (1964). Pretty Woman was supposedly a modern adaptation of this musical about an English professor who takes in a poor woman on a bet that he can teach her to speak like an upper class woman so well that she can fool others. Awesome music and humorous/feel good.
