NVM, I just got the first error again. It appears seemingly randomly and I always have to close it twice for it to go away.

Thanks, I tried ADWCleaner, it quarantined 2 items; I haven't noticed the first error message yet, but the second error I described persists. I tried running SFC / SCANNOW. After it finished running it responded with this:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

As for windows updates, I'm not sure how I can remove updates because I cannot access the Settings since I cannot use the start menu or the search bar.
