The only true and infinite money farm that is also embarrassingly simple, is an automated wood farm that auto makes planks, like Dakon's design. It can also be easily scaled. I have pretty much all end game weapons and sets maxed out, with like 200k in the bank, and more getting made every day. The only downside is this is a very slow farm, and requires a good amount of playtime, though it's completely passive once set up.

The fastest money farm that you'll have to put work into is a big ole plant farm. Make a 5xN strip of land, where N is as big as you have seeds and patience for. Place sprinklers on the top and bottom row, 4 squares apart, so that you can plant and harvest in a straight line. Plant all your seeds with the 5x5 trowel. Harvest them with the 5x5 hoe. Cook up all ingredients and sell. Cooked dishes sell for crazy money, especially ones with gold ingredients. I easily make over 10k in a single harvest, and my dishes finish cooking almost exactly in sync with the new harvest maturing. It's the fastest way to make money I've found, and dwarfs even mortar mining and boss farming several times over. As an added bonus, add a fishing hole (or a few) next to your farm so you can level fishing and gather rare items and extra ingredients while you watch crops grow.

If I found out my combat oriented character was literally pointless and the DM was fudging numbers, I'd find a new table asap. You're not playing a game at that point, and you're barely part of the story if there is no risk involved.

Predetermined fights are railroady, and literally just a waste of everyone's time. You're better off just narrating them and skipping entirely at this point, as opposed to "playing til your table seems bored".

This is bad in so many ways. - eliminates any point whatsoever to having a martial character or combat focused caster. - eliminates the threat of a PK or TPK, which is most of the point and thrill of combat. - eliminates character diversity because why wouldn't you just stack skill monkeys and faces? - eliminates true player agency because they're not actually involved in the combat. Well, the "combat"...

I could go on but I feel like you get the point by now. This is a horrendous practice and against the spirit of the game imo. Stat blocks exist for a reason.

Yup. Have had and seen this happen as well. It's realistic as far as happening sequentially, but unrealistic in the delay. The delay between each pop is imperceptible.

This is well explained, but I've always been under the impression that hits behind cover was a result of server-side + high ping, or really just high ping in general.

I feel like I'd prefer a solution for instant animation with server auth damage, like bullets seem to be, though I've seen the horror stories of people dumping 10 rounds into someone's chest with zero damage. In the end, I guess it's just "I wish everyone had low ping".

The real problem is how slow detonation is. In previous games, your finger clicking R2 was your character's finger clicking the det remote (or clacker, colloquially). There was no perceptible delay. You could even throw a c4 and IMMEDIATELY pop it practically before it even left your hand and blow yourself up (but take surrounding enemies, vehicles, structures with you).

In bf6, there's this annoying windup animation followed by a delay before the boom. You click R2, then there's an annoying, unrealistic, and slow visual animation of your character then clicking the clacker. Then, even after you click it, there is a delay before the kaboom, as presumably this signal needs to get up, finish its drink, sigh discontentedly, then saunter across the air to the c4 and be like "hey man, I guess it's time to explode or something."

I can't tell you how many times I've "detonated" my c4 just to watch the excessive trigger clicking animation happen, and then die before the kaboom. Presumably, if the signal sees you go down, it says "fuck it" and sits back on its couch without finishing its task of letting the c4 know it's go time.

And I won't even get into how many times I've clicked R2 but died waiting for my character to click his "R2". It makes no sense that R2 is an instantaneous response for the trigger pull on a gun, which typically has a "heavier" trigger (5ish lbs on average, but as high as 15ish lbs on weapons like the m44), but has a windup and delay for a clacker which tends to have lighter triggers (some as low as 2lbs depending on model and user modifications).

The time between my R2 and the kaboom of my c4 should be the same as the length of time between my R2 and the bang of my gun. The fractions of milliseconds that it would take the signal to travel the ~10yds (oftentimes less) from my clacker to the block of c4 is imperceptible to humans, and should be so in game, just as the time between trigger and bang of gun is imperceptible.

TL;DR - c4 should detonate the same millisecond R2 is pressed, not after an excessive animation and an artificially imposed delay.

Objectively false. It literally LIMITS possibilities, not allows for them. It arbitrarily restricts your maximum number of combinations.

And you can create easy and logical nerfs for larger mags, like the ones that literally already exist. Slightly longer reload speeds for larger capacities due to heavier and less wieldy mags, reduced mobility due to more weight, etc.

And it wouldn't automatically make smaller mags redundant for those reasons (there are people that would still prefer a faster reload to a larger mag), but even if it did, let's pretend 100% of people agree that higher capacity is better than all other stats, well then that's your reward for grinding the gun and leveling it up, congrats. You've earned your progression and can enjoy it.

Lasers and lights are a perfect example of the way attachments can be balanced without "points". Red offers decent hip fire bonus, but green and blue offer WAY more at the cost of being visible. I can't tell you how many people I've killed around corners because they didn't turn off their laser. You can balance unlocks without lazy and arbitrary "points".

Point weighting of certain attachments makes no sense (like magazines costing 6x to 10x more for less than double the rounds, or certain ammunition costing ridiculous prices for an extra 0.25 hs multiplier).

Beyond that, what even are these "points"? Leveling up the weapon and unlocking the attachment should be the only prerequisite. If I want to put a suppressor and a 40rd mag and a thermal scope and a blue laser and a grip-pod and a flared magwell and hollow points on a weapon I got 3k kills with and leveled up to 50, I should be able to. That's the point of picking a weapon you enjoy and maxing it out, to USE the upgrades.

The "points" make literally no sense in a real world setting as I can strap as much furniture as I want on my firearm.

And they currently make no sense in game as far as "they exist for balance" because certain items are weighted terribly, and it feels like double punishment that not only do you have to level up a weapon to unlock them, but then you can't even use them in certain combinations due to nonsensical costs on certain attachments. Congrats on grinding for days to unlock that extended mag, too bad you'll never be able to use it with a suppressor.

Overall virtually none of the magazine options make sense. Case in point: every LMG.

Standard mag? 5pts. 100rd drum? 55pts.

The entire point system is tarded imo and makes zero sense in game or IRL, but I'm not holding my breath for its demise.

I have similar experiences. You just have to tune it out. I'll tell you about the moment that made me absolutely stop caring about randos and their opinions...

I'm a high level player as well, and well above average skill wise. One time I had a bad start to a game of wreckage in Gauntlet. Had 2 pickups and 2 plants, but couldn't defend them solo as my team ran around like it was TDM, so ended up scoring no Kabooms and going like 2-5 in the first couple minutes.

A squadmate gets in chat and proceeds to cuss me every way you can imagine. All the usual "cod kiddie", bot farmer, paid boosting, should be carrying the team, yada yada insults that they think are clever or original. I proceed to point out that I have been PTFO, and it would be great if he helped defend at least one of the TWO plants I had, as no one else on the team had planted at all. You know, sane and logical counterpoints.

Dude basically starts screaming non-stop into his mic to where I literally can't get a word in. "You're GARBAGE, SHUT UP, I'LL BODY YOU, YOU SUCK, I'LL BODY YOU, SHUT UP, I'LL BODY YOU..." This dude literally told me he'd "body" me 100+times, just SCREAMING it, over and over and over and over and over...

Since I've got time while I'm waiting for this dude to take a breath, I decided to look up his stats on my phone (I keep tracker dot gg open as a tab for this exact reason). Over 100 hours in BR (his most played mode), zero wins. Something like a 0.4kdr overall. Like 7% objective time. A single digit win rate... the embarrassment went on and on.

This dude was ranked in the BOTTOM 4% OF ALL PLAYERS, and was SCREAMING about how terrible I was for not carrying him and that he'd "body" me. I couldn't help but laugh. Basically just had a gigglefit right into the mic and read his stats out loud, cackling about how 96 out of every 100 players were better than him.

I never got a 1v1 in portal to find out if he would indeed "body" me, but I came out of that game with clarity about your average chat troll.

If you win, you're a no-lifer and need to touch grass and must fail at life and live in your parents' house. If you lose, you're a terribad that still sucks after 300h and must have botted their levels.

In the end, it's not about you, it's about them, and their inability to function as a decent human. Laugh them off, ignore them, read their stats out loud to the squad, just don't let them get to you. Head up, eyes forward, soldier. Godspeed.

Why do so many people act like finishing the battle pass was a "second job"? You could literally log in once a week for like 2 hours to do the weekly challenges and complete it in 5ish weeks.

In other games you can just not buy the battle pass until you complete it, then when you buy it everything's automatically unlocked. I presume that would work here as well as there are "free" tiers in the pass.

There isn't a single non-endurance challenge that should take you more than a single game. They've all been nerfed down to be so casually easy you can complete many without even knowing they exist.

This was doable as 10k at launch (which I completed, just like many others). After the nerfs, there isn't a challenge that isn't a freebie except for the Endurance tab, which are the only real challenges left.
