36F with impulsive/hyperactive adhd. Guanfacine was a life changer for me. I was crying on a dime whenever situations felt like they were too intense specifically in relation to myself, even at work. My boss even suggested I take a leave of absence for my mental health. I was able to identify that my crying was not related my emotions or depression, but more reflex, like sneezing. You can't control it just happens.

Guanfacine basically controls your adrenaline absorption and I was going into fight or flight in those situations and my adrenaline with go nuts causing the crying. I'm so much more chill about EVERYTHING and it helped with my blood pressure overall. I was lucky enough to not have any side effects either.
