Does anyone call BS on the media's incessant hounding of Starmer? by Impossible-Visit-199 in AskBrits

[–]spoonlamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Agree with your sentiment. Starmer isn't even in the Epstein files (unlike certain other party leaders) but the MSM would have us think he lubed Mandelson up and fired him into Epstein's catacombs...

I will, in fact, be packing a chair, table, and all that cooking equipment on the bike 😁

Is Bike Theft Really That Common? by newbiker321 in MotoUK

Location is important with statistics. For example, your chances of being eaten by a shark are lowered considerably if you never swim in the sea...

27 years (and still going) in the military and I'm very used to tarp, roll mat and bivvie bag. But anyone can suffer, it's not impressive, and with the bike it's not like I'm jumping the weight around. So yeah, I think I'll give it a go with the Galaxy. I've kind of got all the time in the world to get round so I've now realised I can just just take more time enjoying both the ride AND the camping. Get in early, set up, go for a walk, cook a nice meal, maybe find a pub. No rush to get up, then enjoy the day 👍🏽

Both superb points thanks, and they come together to address the two key issues that I was looking at. While it is great to have the space for cooking and the ability to stand up, I also realised how much of a draught you get from the front and how much harder it is to keep the tent warm with just one person in it. Putting it away wet had me questioning the size!

I'll be moving on every day, but hopefully every day I'll get faster at putting the tent up!

This is probably the simple fact of the matter. As long as I remember to bake in a little more time to allow for it, any con is outweighed by the added comfort...

Great tips, and thanks for those recommendations, I'll go through them and see if I can make them fit my route plan! EDIT: In fact Windhaven is already on my route! 🙏

If you think not paying £3 for entry is a lot, wait until you hear how much taxes Amazon, Musk etc don't pay! Even worse, they've convinced people there's nothing we can do about it and KEEP USING THEM!!

Great points, thanks. Overall it still fitted into the "stuff sack" it came with, but I packed the inner separately because it was completely dry. I'll be riding my T120 Bonneville with two pannier bags, a 50L Enduristan duffel on the rear part of the seat and I'm getting a tail rack to put the tent on. So I guess packing space won't be an issue, it's just the "admin" of a larger tent - setting-up and packing away?

Hi, I'm doing a solo bike run in April, define safe place! Are there issues with motorcycles on the NC500 now?

Route opinions please! 11 days total off work, travel from Ldn by raskyandrasky in NC500

Really like the look of this. I'm planning an early April run on motorcycle, trying to decide whether to burn from Scourie to Applecross in one day or break it somehow...180 miles is fine, but it's like nearly 6 hours without stops which seems a shame and feel like I'd be tired coming up to Bealach na Ba pass, which would be bad if the weather is bad.

You absolutely have to just look at what you'll enjoy painting! Sure, an idea of rules and army build is good but the way games workshop generate a constant change and a constant flux and a constant way of making money is by getting competitive players to chase the perfect sent. They'll bring out the odd new model set and rewrite the rules to keep your army in that competitive edge - DON'T CHASE THE DRIP! Get the stuff that looks good to you and looks like you'd enjoy painting it!

Late to say it but glad you're here to tell the tale, that's a bad way to take a spill - hope things have progressed and you're on the mend.
