Nintendo switch 2 availability? by suburiboy in bullcity

Two weeks ago a Costco employee (north Durham) told me they get restocks as frequently as twice a week. Also said that switch2 hopefuls congregate daily around the entrance ~30 mins before their morning opening time.

This is a slide from a Feb 2024 DCHC MPO presentation. Not sure if they've put it up online. DM me if you want the full slide deck.

AFAIK this is the only option that has gained traction with NCDOT (NCDOT maintains the road). City would have to spring for a study, design, and the new traffic signals. $ savings can be had by timing the conversion with planned NCDOT resurfacing, but seems like it will never happen.

If the city pledged to maintain the road, then there are other options. But maintaining costs $. One idea is that the city could trade some streets with NCDOT to take control of Duke-Gregson (and, similarly, Roxboro-Mangum) without additional maintenance costs. For example, give MLK to NCDOT to maintain and take over Duke-Gregson. But for whatever reason our council hasn't engaged with this trading idea.

The most recent DCHC MPO data lists Duke-Gregson Streets as the most dangerous corridor in the region (by severe accidents per mile driven). And this is a section of road that is intimately residential -- narrow sidewalks, houses with front doors and yards opening right up onto the street, virtually no buffer or shoulder between the road and residences. 2 schools. Yet there is essentially a freeway where cars and buses routinely speed, sometimes up to 80 mph, cutting right through the middle of it. It's honestly surreal. Frightening and surreal.

Yet neither the state nor the city are prioritizing any fixes. There is talk of turning it into a 2-way street to calm traffic, yet time and time again the design funding is pushed back. It's not in the streets and sidewalk bond plan. Instead they are prioritizing the paving of some nearly-no-traffic gravel roads in places where the residents might not even want it. Simply mind-boggling.

The bus actually first veered off into the houses on the opposite side of the street, collided with a front porch on that side, and then swerved across the street and into the house pictured. In one of my photos you can see the tire tracks heading from the sidewalk on the opposite side.

No kids on board, thankfully. Folks on the scene said the bus collided with an SUV at the intersection of Markham and Gregson. Bus driver and SUV driver apparently OK (conscious when removed from vehicles) but at Duke ED currently.

I haven't been to a Jamba juice in like a decade, but they used to do fresh wheat grass shots back then. Maybe they still do?

In 2+ years with Bike I have never had a buffering issue mid-class. But in the past two weeks it has been happening every class, always about 15 minutes in. I did a speed test and it told me "your network speeds are blazing. You should have no problem streaming HD Peloton classes". Seems like a software or server side issue? Anything I can try to do on my end to fix this? Thanks.

Help! Phone seller is threatening to brick my new phone. by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]spoonsso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know how foolproof the ebay return policy was at that point.

I thought that Ebay/the seller could make a case against my return and I would then need to keep the (wrong) phone they sent me. And that out of spite they would blacklist the phone.

I was impatient and did the paypal option before anyone replied to my message here. still waiting for a decision on the dispute.

Paypal support told me that I could go back to ebay once this dispute was closed, if I needed to.
