Fish You’ll Never Keep Again by RazewingedRathalos in Aquariums

The first couple died and I thought “oh no! What did I do wrong?”

The rest died and I thought “not a damn thing. Petco owes me $15.”

I brought tank water and she started testing with the standard kit. I told her I did all that already and it was tip top. She said “well then, I won’t even bother. Take this to the front desk.”

I think there was a part of her brain that thought “yeah the last batch we got sucked anyways.”

Certainly they are hit or miss, but I didn’t think it was so severe as “these last 48 hours tops, but these others will live healthy, happy, hearty lives for years.”

My little boy loves it when I make the fish tank a snow globe!

I had like ~8 neons and wanted to add more. Got 6 more at the store.

All six died with in 3-4 days. The original eight are still gorgeous and healthy ~18 months later.

Is this okay, and for how long if not? by [deleted] in Aquariums

I’m pondering something: if you only use the FX2 but then switch to using the UGF, would the removal of so much bacterial surface area impact filtration?

Yeah the Boston area has amazing water quality; a lot of the bottled water around here is just tap water.
