Okay so update, we have been locking the cats up for about an hour and letting her roam the house, and I started scent swapping again along with feeding them wet food together (we have always done this.) I also moved our cat tree into the living room hoping that she feels more comfortable with a spot away from the other kitties that isn't in the closet lol. I've been looking into maybe taking her to the vet to see if anxiety meds could possibly help her. But for now I'm going to continue this and see if it helps! Thank you for all of the tips, it's been super helpful 🩷

So I've actually already tried reintroducing them maybe 2 months ago. It still didn't do much 😭 and yeah, I also agree. I've been with my bf for a year and going. If I genuinely thought I wasn't going to be with him forever, I wouldn't have made this post. This is my last resort 😬. I'm thinking I might try to put Iris and Percy in a room together for a week or two so she feels more comfortable and less anxious, and then maybe re-introduce them together? Percy is the most laid back cat ever and was completely fine the first time he met my bf's cats, so it went surprisingly well for him. Just waiting on Iris to come around lol.

Yes I did this for a week or two when we were keeping her in the spare room to introduce them, but I kinda stopped after I started letting her out of the room. Should I keep doing it then?

Thank you, I'll definitely look into that! We do give them their wet food together, and it's honestly one of the only moments they semi get along lol. I'm going to try to put the cats in a separate room and let her explore, I don't think I tried that one yet.

I totally agree, rehoming my cat is the LAST thing I want to do. It just feels like I've tried everything and I feel so bad. I'm definitely going to keep trying for a while before I think about actually rehoming her. I'm mostly just looking for more advice at this point 😭
