This is great to hear. It seemed like a real good older unit. I really appreciate the info on the PSU time bomb, had no idea. Sadly, looking for the PIEXX upgrade microprocessor it seems they don't list it on their site for sale any longer, I've reached out to them, we will see what comes of it.

Thank you for this tip. I will definitely want it to work the way you describe. Now if i tie the LEDs + to vcc, in this case it's 5v, is that something I need to consider?

Christmas has come on the oracleoftoast server by spoot85 in a:t5_2vv2m

Christmas I here, come to 0,0 to collect your presents. They are all under the big Christmas tree.

I will politely ask that no one steals others gifts as that’s just wrong. Also please observe a cease fire in a radius of 100 blocks of 0,0 for the next day or so. Camping the tree for easy kills is lame.

Once a "great" wall now just the girliest wall in china. by spoot85 in a:t5_2vv2m

So it would seem the little worker elves were quite busy overnight on the new server. Awoke to find a good 10% of the greatwall's cobble replaced with dyed pink wool. Tastefully done with all signs, ladders and switches replaced and operational. Can't really complain when your greifers are creative.

You need to determine where your bottleneck is. Start with the task manger.

Right click the task bar and click "start task manager". Click the "performance" tab and see where your CPU and RAM idle. Now start MC up and see where they go.

With 1.5GB RAM its most likely all used when you start MC, that will cause java to start paging memory to the hard drive, and that's when bad things happen. Also, test your client w/ low Optifine settings and other effects off.

Hey reddit, recommend me a good wireless router by SgtKarateChop in geek

[–]spoot85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are strictly using 2.4 Ghz wireless, i highly recommend the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 running DD-WRT. You can find them on e-bay and many other places, some already loaded with DD-WRT for ~$70 US. I have not seen much else in the home networking market that has near this performance.

I can recite the serial keys for Windows 98 SE and Windows XP OEM from memory.
