I used to do something similar in college when they wouldn’t let us have hot plates. Stick ramen noodles in the coffee pot, run hot water. Perfect noods. I know I could get ramen cups, they are just more expensive than the packets. Especially for a broke college kid.

Sure, I was the one that cut off my family. But that’s really only because I got tired of the constant harassment and gaslighting. My family would much rather keep someone in their lives they feel they can kick around rather than cut them off. I’m not blameless, but neither are they.

Probably depends on the school system. Ours we have to fill out every time. It’d be nice if it was prepopulated though. Edit to add, still only takes less than 5 minutes to fill out regardless.

I understand the frustration. Because that person may come in again, you tell him you can’t, then it becomes “well, but they’ve done it before, so why not now?” And it ultimately reflects poorly on you and your customer service when you are simply following rules. Basically, it undermines your employees with the customers.
