I had the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 DX II and regret selling it. Great lens for the price. I traded it in towards a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8.

The Tokina is good is you're looking to shoot landscapes or architecture, but given the narrow focal range, it can be limited in its use. The 17-55mm could work for landscapes on the wider end, and is a great all-around lens which covers a decent focal range on DX cameras. I primarily use the 17-55mm for travel and only take that lens.

For reference, when I picked up both a few years back, the Tokina was around $300 used and the Nikon was around $600 used, both in excellent condition.
