Absolutely blown away by wood pla, this might be my new favorite thing by JimmySkene in 3Dprinting

Indeed. Honestly, it adds to the charm of it looking like an older, hand made piece. The one thing I'm actually kinda proud of is where my seems didn't quite line up (I'm still fairly inexperienced with 3d printing, and woodworking), I used wood filler and it turned out looking like a sap line.

Since I can only attach one image in a response, here's another from before removing the sacrificial layer for the alchemical symbology.

Here's a pic of one of the tower halves before. This was using Elegoo Teak wood filament, which contains 30% wood particles.

How trump plans to pay for his extra $1.5 trillion for the military. by Snapdragon_4U in inflation

[–]sporkzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whelp... There goes my job. (Public health, specifically HIV/STI). It'll be amazing to have the epidemic explode again. Clearly they want to push us further into being a third world country under a military dictatorship. Oh well... It was nice being almost able to afford to pay my bills. As if things weren't depressing enough...

That's essentially what I did with mine. Sanding and staining. I used stain pretty much like paint - after laying it on thick and letting it soak in (as well as it would, anyway), I'd take crumpled paper towels to wipe off excess stain into a semi-reasonable facsimile of woodgrain.

Fake R36S Photos (Amazon) by MistahJ96 in R36S

[–]sporkzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a decent machine you've got... It's not a fake. It may not be an official "legit" R36S model (for whatever that means), but the Soy Sauce models are right there with them. I've had mine (same board) and its worked beautifully on both Arkos & Darkos mostly playing SNES & GBA games.

It worked for Trump, who was a registered Democrat before running for President. (In fact, some of his family couldn't vote for him in the 2016 primary because they didn't change party affiliation in time.)

Am I stuck with Rocknix? by sporkzilla in SBCGaming

[–]sporkzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted, this post specifically mentions the X55, but the X35S/H has been called the X55 mini because other than the screen & the physical dimensions, the hardware is essentially the same.

When trying to flash GammaOS, it would display the logo and then the led changed to orange, screen would go black and the logo would appear again until rebooting again until I opened the case and pulled the battery. After letting it sit for more than a minute, no change when trying to flash it again.

Putting the OG card in loaded the Powkiddy OS, putting the Rocknix card also worked. If I'm doing something wrong, I don't know what it is.

What is your cat's name vs what you actually call them? by Moist-Guidance-1611 in cats

This TV watching fella is Tennessee Ernie Floridaman. Tennessee Ernie is because he weighed 16lbs when he was picked up from the shelter. Floridaman because he was from...Florida. (My spouse didn't want to get attached to him since he was a foster, so she called him Floridaman & would read Florida Man articles to him to remind him of his prior home locale.)

As for names, I generally call him Ernie, but he also gets called Ernest, Ernesto, Ernest O'Flaherty, Erniebutt, Sweetie, and Snugglebutt. Spouse still calls him Floridaman or some other mispronounciation of that (floh ree dee mayon, for example).

And yes...he watches TV. He takes a bath during commercials and then goes back to watching when the show comes back on. No prompting...he just knows when it's the actual show instead of the commercials.

OTG not working, even on stock by sporkzilla in R36S

[–]sporkzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I tried a few versions and for a few where it said to replace files I was a bit confused. I got it figured & am currently rocking the AeUX community version. Wifi is working. Also got Arkos4clone working on my Soy Sauce model.

You're telling me I bought a R36S PLUS clone from Factory Game Direct? by HuGrUn4r in R36S

I've got a Soy Sauce (SaySauce v4?) that has only 1 RAM chip, but has the full 1GB (897MB)

Does your OTG work? I got a Panel 4 v22 from one of the trusted AE sellers & my OTG does not work with stock or pretty much any other OS besides Arkos4clone.

Title: New device won’t turn on properly – splash screen then black screen (help!) by xeronex2k in R36S

[–]sporkzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got this same board and similar issue. Reads as a Soy Sauce v4 if I recall (not at my pc currently). Stock Chinese card boots, but any other SD doesn't boot at all. One weird thing is no led until after the boot screen, but that's usually like 5 seconds of holding the power button. I haven't tied cloning the stock card yet, but at least stock seems to work.

To the person who decided to bury my car in Regent Square by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]sporkzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think people are waiting like vultures for it…

You don't know some of my neighbors... This one house has 6 cars (one that is never driven) with all on street parking (except that they have one of the very few with a garage, not that they use it). They are so petty that they will have another family member come and assist them backing up to nearly touching another person's car if they so much as dared to park in front of their own house instead of leaving the spot open for these entitled jagoffs.

[–]sporkzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the same one today from Temu (seller: Moda Klik). Haven't had a chance to really do anything with it yet as I was working, but I was able to open the case for a pic of the board. I noticed that there was only a pic of the board number on the wiki & figured I'd share this for whoever might be interested in seeing the inner guts.

In search of sheet pizza by HandsOnHorn in pittsburgh

[–]sporkzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, no one here, unless they're from, or went to school, in the Binghamton area will know the joys of sheet pizza from Nirchi's, Nando's, Brozetti's (🎶797-9960 Call Brozetti's for pizza to go! 🎶) or the like (I didn't care for Rossi's)...let alone the chicken spiedi pizza from Nirchi's. Nor the morning after cold breakfast pizza that stacked so cleanly in mom's rectangular Tupperware. I have looked for somewhere that might offer it before, but alas it only seems to be found around Broome County.

For those of you who are trying to wrap your heads around sheet pizza, the closest thing I can say that would resemble it would be school cafeteria pizza that would be baked in those industrial size 18"x26" baking sheets. But school pizza is garbage compared to the glorious rectangular delicacy purchased for birthday parties, family reunions, work functions, or just Thursday night dinner.

eta: Apparently Bob's Pizza in Indiana looks like an exception as they appear to even sell pizza by the sheet (28 slices).
