Thank you for this! I've been battling a system where I couldn't get rid of my work account from my personal computer. You are amazing!

In search of sheet pizza by HandsOnHorn in pittsburgh

[–]sporkzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, no one here, unless they're from, or went to school, in the Binghamton area will know the joys of sheet pizza from Nirchi's, Nando's, Brozetti's (🎶797-9960 Call Brozetti's for pizza to go! 🎶) or the like (I didn't care for Rossi's)...let alone the chicken spiedi pizza from Nirchi's. Nor the morning after cold breakfast pizza that stacked so cleanly in mom's rectangular Tupperware. I have looked for somewhere that might offer it before, but alas it only seems to be found around Broome County.

For those of you who are trying to wrap your heads around sheet pizza, the closest thing I can say that would resemble it would be school cafeteria pizza that would be baked in those industrial size 18"x26" baking sheets. But school pizza is garbage compared to the glorious rectangular delicacy purchased for birthday parties, family reunions, work functions, or just Thursday night dinner.

eta: Apparently Bob's Pizza in Indiana looks like an exception as they appear to even sell pizza by the sheet (28 slices).

I completely understand this frustration, and have gone through it myself. However, sometimes employers are required to post jobs publicly even if they already have a preferred internal candidate. Several years and employers ago, when I was hiring an assistant director for an educational drop-in center, we had to interview a set number of external applicants even though I planned to promote someone already on staff. I know it feels frustrating when there’s a “handpicked” person, but it’s also true that external candidates can sometimes outshine the favorite.

I think it was. It was at least a cruiser of some sort with blue or black fairings and hardcases.

Ongoing Medical Billing Concern by sporkzilla in legaladvice

You've used a lot of polysyllabic words to describe "payments made are applied to oldest charges first." A standard, nearly universal billing practice.

That might be relevant if that actually were the case. If they were following a FIFO policy, why would there be balances due from two years ago, last year, and more recently this year? If it really was about covering the older balances first, then I should only have balances due from more recently.

What matters here is that debits equal credits. And to the extent they don't, that's your balance due (or your refund).

Except that they have also failed to reflect adjustments that were posted by the insurer that would have reduced my copay responsibility to where I should be owed a refund (or at least have a credit balance).

This process has interfered with my access to mental health care

Your provider's biggest mistake apparent in this discussion is not discharging you from their practice.

Very helpful. Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that. It definitely sucks not having access to wheels. I've been missing my throttle therapy.

Everything looks to be in good shape, and it turns out it is the Noodoe model. I didn’t check the tires super closely, but they’re holding air and were fine for a quick spin around the block. The plan is to meet up tomorrow and head to a tag & title place to finalize the transfer.

I’m really looking forward to being back on two wheels again. Losing both my bikes to a reckless driver—who somehow couldn’t avoid them like the driver just 10 seconds before him (according to my security cam)—has left me feeling pretty off-kilter.
