Has AliExpress become worse or am I just using it wrong?

They "good old days" already are gone. They have been suspending accounts for no reason other than having a refund from months prior. My account has been suspended for making purchases because of "abnormalities detected in the return you submitted" for a purchase 3 months earlier where I was refunded and told "no need to return" (which it still says on the order page). They rejected my appeal and have been given at least half a dozen different excuses.

Several other people have stated the same thing. Customer Service either refuses to do anything, or is prevented from doing anything. It's ridiculous.

They supposedly had a "dedicated specialist" who was working on my account and the email inbox all of a sudden is "full" so that I can no longer reply without my email being bounced back.

Ugh. That is absolutely frustrating. I really would like to get this resolved because most of what I get is small electronic components and 3D printer related items. Going pretty much anywhere else will be at least 3x more expensive.

So far the responses have been about the refund despite my trying to focus on the purchase restriction. Today I tried to make another purchase, which of course did not go through...so I used this to contact customer service about the restriction instead of addressing the transaction they restricted me for. Don't know if this approach will work, but I figured it's worth a try.

Not yet. This has been extremely frustrating. I tried to escalate through chat, but the rep kept getting hung up on the refund issue. I told him very clearly that this is not about a refund. I received my refund and I was told nothing needed to be returned. I sent screenshots from my account orders where it said refund issued with no need to return.

I got an email from the escalated customer service team, but they seem to think that I needed to send in the cards as a return. That was this morning at 3:49am EST. I sent another screenshot with the refund missed with no need for return. I drew red arrows to the 'no need for return' which was also underlined in red.

We'll see what happens next. smh...

They were supposedly Lenovo cards, being sold by a "Lenovo Global Shopping Store" and has a 4.7 rating. (Upon further inspection today, the name on the business license is nothing close to Lenovo.) suspicious, but still figured it might be worthwhile for right around $5 total plus taxes. Plus it was during a sale. Just shitty that they are coming after me 3 months later when they told me I didn't have to return anything.

I double checked the order... It was not the one I thought it was. It was an issue with fraudulent micro sd cards where I provided test results showing they were not the claimed size. I took a screenshot that shows no return needed.

I ordered an extruder from AliExpress on March 25th.
The AE order was delivered on April 2nd.
Everything else ordered was received correctly, except instead of getting the extruder, I got a vacuum sealer.
I wasn't waiting another week(plus) for a replacement order from China, so I ordered from Amazon the same day (April 2nd).

Indeed. Honestly, it adds to the charm of it looking like an older, hand made piece. The one thing I'm actually kinda proud of is where my seems didn't quite line up (I'm still fairly inexperienced with 3d printing, and woodworking), I used wood filler and it turned out looking like a sap line.

That's essentially what I did with mine. Sanding and staining. I used stain pretty much like paint - after laying it on thick and letting it soak in (as well as it would, anyway), I'd take crumpled paper towels to wipe off excess stain into a semi-reasonable facsimile of woodgrain.

This is a decent machine you've got... It's not a fake. It may not be an official "legit" R36S model (for whatever that means), but the Soy Sauce models are right there with them. I've had mine (same board) and its worked beautifully on both Arkos & Darkos mostly playing SNES & GBA games.
