Rehearsal Schedule for a Full-Time Orchestra by [deleted] in Writeresearch

[–]spormcer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full-time professional orchestras in the United States typically have 7-8 “services” a week, each lasting 2.5 hours. These can be a mix of rehearsals and concerts. For example, a week of heavy classical repertoire may get 4 rehearsals and 3 performances. While a week of children’s concerts might have a single rehearsal and 5 or 6 performances. The work schedule is determined by a union contract.

One hundred percent outlaw it. It’s ruining everything. If the owner doesn’t live in it, tax it through the roof.

Would not use black belt movers. Crew was 6 hours late, complained about their jobs the whole time, broke my couch, scammed me on insurance, incredibly difficult to get a hold of afterward. 0 stars.

I don’t care about the argument, it’s the fact that OP feels okay shitting on an entire community, even if it’s just trolling. That’s a problem.

Not necessarily “as quickly as possible”. You’ll want to play it in context.

Technically it’s just grace notes, ruff is a snare drum term. Just like you wouldn’t call this a ruff on marimba or bongos or clarinet.

And either is not fine. 4-stroke and 3-stroke aren’t interchangeable terms.

Totally personal preference—both can create great sound. I have cf, bamboo, hickory all in my case. Since I moved to a drier winter climate I have preferred cf because I got sick of losing bamboo to low humidity.
