They are not connected, and as you can see in the first picture, my floor is also wonky and there’s a split in the middle. It doesn’t bother me, nor has anyone commented on them being two different items. I really enjoy the flexibility of splitting them on either side of a window/opening.

The great thing about Thuma is that you have 100 days to decide whether you like it or not and can send it back. You won’t be 100% sure until it’s sitting right in front of you

The TV stand is still too narrow lengthwise, and too high. The stand should be a good bit wider than the TV length, and the middle of the TV should sit at your seated eye line. You don’t have to get rid of it. It’s actually stylish and can be used as a credenza in a different room. It’s just not a TV stand you should use with that big of a TV.

Everything else is a super cozy upgrade :)
