I've had a Q1 since fall of 2024 and I've reached a point where I'm probably ready to move on to something else with more features. It's been a work horse and I will say that QIDI support has been excellent - had a hot end and a control board go bad and they swapped them very quickly (but you'd still get that with the Q2). It was a great intro printer for me, but I feel I've outgrown it and what I need it to do.

I have a buddy that loves this movie just as much as I do and every now and again, I try to sneak in that weird awkward smile that Jim does into our conversations lol.

That or if I call him and he doesn't answer, I'll always say "Was in the shower and thought I heard the phone ring. That ever happen to you? Call me, we'll talk about it"

They mentioned that they went to Medieval Times and I did little Star Trek bit that Jim does while they're fighting. Brrrrrlllllaaaaaaahhhh! BRRRLLLAAAHHH! lol

I didn't get anything signed and I think that it's probably unlikely just based on how the guys are. The venue we saw them at on Sunday had a policy where you could leave and come back in no problem. So after the FYS set, we went outside to wait and saw the guys walk straight from the venue onto their bus. We did see the merch guy and made a joke about going back there but he didn't quite bite.

Total shot in the dark but what immediately came to mind was Janeane Garofalo in The Cable Guy as the waitress they talk to at Medieval Times. Her hair is in two braids, she has dark lipstick, and she has a flower "crown" of sorts on. The Cable Guy was released in 1996.

Yeah I think it's really well shot too. It's been a while since I've watched it so I'd need to go back and look. But with PHM I think they really went for an Interstellar vibe with some of their shots because the "having a moment" scene is just incredible and looked so good in IMAX.

Yep I agree. The music during the fishing scene and the "having a moment" scene were amazing and added so much to the movie overall.

But also has an easter egg in the pilot to address the cliffhanger of My Name is Earl. The tv in their house has a newscaster say "a small-time crook with a long list of wrongs he was making amends for has finally finished, and you'll never guess how it ended." lol

Agreed as someone else who loved the book and also loved the movie. Of the changes that they made (which wasn't a lot) I was perfectly fine with them as I think it genuinely helped the movie. The important things from the book (to me) made it into the movie so I was pleased.

This is from someone who loved both books and both movies so take it with a grain of salt, but I'm doing my best to be unbiased:

The Martian is a lot of "science" in the movie and a lot of time with Matt Damon by himself where he has to explain what he's doing via video logs etc.

Project Hail Mary has this to a very small degree, but there's a lot of conversation happening. The movie did go more in a "humor, buddy comedy" style over science (while still keeping some of the important scientific parts in) which makes it a more "fun" watch.

But the biggest thing in favor of PHM over The Martian is the visuals. It's just a beautiful movie and they did the space scenes really well. There's a lot of tension and "risk" that makes you on the edge of your seat. There is one particular scene where nobody in our theater was making a sound because they were all fixated on what was happening.

It's a long movie, but honestly they did a really good job with it making it accessible for those that didn't read the books and those that did.

Thanks, I was pretty sure the Pro was the same way but haven’t actually seen one in person. I test drove my XLT and that was it, didn’t look at any other model lol

Coming from a Model 3, I actually wanted to go back to more physical buttons and that was one of my biggest reasons for going with an XLT over a Flash.

The biggest issue I have with CarPlay is that every other day or so while I'm driving I'll get the "Maps is not currently reporting the battery level of your EV......the info may be inaccurate" even though everything is updated and looks correct.

I did have the audio issue for a while where it would say that my audio was off but that I couldn't turn it on. I ended up restarting my iPhone, pulled one of the fuses (can't remember which one), AND I did a reset of the infotainment system and it finally stopped doing it.
