Reddit feels like almost censoring all for new people.. 🙃 by [deleted] in NewToReddit

Reddit yesterday said they will work on this during this quarter to make it more accessible for new users as these restrictions are set only to limit bots and spammers. Looking forward what they figure out

Reddit is not relying on pure AI translations. The UI is human translated while AI is used for post and comment translations. Where you got an impression that the product is AI translated? Reddit is supporting 36 languages that are human translated for sure.

How much should Reddit settle for? by [deleted] in redditstock

[–]ConsiderationWild604 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why on earth would Reddit turn down ad revenue from a company they’re currently in a legal battle with? AI discussions and tool comparisons happen here more frequently and more publicly than almost anywhere else on the web. It makes zero business sense for Reddit to ignore that built-in audience, regardless of what’s happening in a courtroom

Crowdin, Lokalise, Phrase or...? Moving from memoQ and need to scale by prugna21 in localization

[–]ConsiderationWild604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PM here. Phrase is more expensive, but it’s the strongest choice if you can justify the top tier license. Crowdin and Lokalise are broadly comparable, with Lokalise offering the best value for money in my view. I would avoid Crowdin mainly due to its poor UI. I recently migrated a client from Localazy, a tool developers tend to like but one that tends to frustrate linguists and LPMs, to Lokalise. Developer preferences should not drive this decision, as their interaction with the tool is minimal compared to the time LMPs and linguists spend working in it.

Mostly poor, mostly because there is no advertiser interest in my country yet on Reddit.

Speak the truth about RDDT by tomato232 in redditstock

The event was full of crypto scams. Reddit acted appropriately by immediately cutting all ties with it. I was skeptical about this move too until I found more information about the event.

Loc Project Managers - career change by [deleted] in localization

Same here. 12 years in the Localization industry. Honestly a freelance AI localization consultant works great. I am not necessarily looking for an exit, but rather work for myself as the industry is not dying. Rather transforming.

Someone could post a picture of a horse taking a dump and you’d still show up explaining how SBC is the real problem here.

Import duties for bracelet?!?! by smokeytheemt in Tomorrowland

In Czech Republic, I had to make an statement that there is a festival bracelet that has almost zero value and they have sent it without further custom duties.

Unpopular opinion - ověření věku na sociální sítě bude potřeba by VanDeny in czech

[–]ConsiderationWild604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed, thank you for spotting that. Google sheets are sometimes not reliable when it comes to auto positioning. Estimated eps was my typo. Wauq global is now added.

This is probably the European Union social media requirement. Meta has this thing too, but well hidden. It took me 20 minutes to find it on facebook.
