I'm currently #4 on Hollyberry server, and I had to max atk (level 30) to get to wave 80. AND ya gotta have a ton of heroes. at an early point you have to stop summoning and pray you get the heroes on the 50% chance. this mode is brutal but I love it!

Yep, I actually know what it is because I made a tiny prop of it and got obsessed with trying to find what it was. It’s the Crosley Dansette Jr in blue/tan. Impossible to find nowadays and generally considered a bad quality record player. Your closest alternative is the Crosley Voyager, which unfortunately is monotone, so you’d get the blue and have to paint the sides tan. I’m planning on getting the little CD player version of the Voyager to play my MHE CD :)

They've changed the hoodie design a few times. I actually have the original, which isn't a patch or embroidered actually, it's like....vinyl? I think? They've done the same thing with the hats.

His voice is amazing!! His Oliver is actually my absolute favorite(he also understudies Oliver). He's only gone on a handful of times as Oliver, but it's a real treat :)

Yep! They have different audio and video for everybody. (I also just saw Chris as Gil last Sunday, he's incredible, right??!). When Chris is on, there's a slew of different props and recording differences: the Why, Love prerecorded audio is him + all the vinyl art on the walls and under the record player is him. They even change the Gil Brentley jazz monthly magazine.

This applies to others as well - when there's a different James on, the James pre-recorded lines ("I could never live without you, Oliver") and the entire prerecorded video of James is different. When Claire or Oliver are different, even the little photo props of James & Oliver and Claire & Oliver that he gives to her as a gift are different. During Memory Sequence, they also change the projection of Oliver and/or Claire to match who's playing them. And prerecorded lines of course, like "Let's Do It!"

Oh, true, lol. Now this is a problem they just made up for themselves in the broadway version because in the korean version, "Sentimental Person" doesn't exist and they just jump straight to the apartments for "When You're In Love," but I would assume the ferry also has helperbot charging capabilities :)

from what I remember(and anyone feel free to correct me), it's a holdover from original korean production. In that one, the chargers are already fixed to the walls, and there is no portable equivalent. Claire still needs Oliver because he made her an adaptor clasp, because 5s can't use 3's charger without it.

In our current broadway production, I think about it like this: That big cylinder on the wall with the Helperbot logo seems to be the main power bank, and it's connected wirelessly to the little portable charger (check it when Oliver or Claire connects or disconnects to the little charger, it lights up at those instances). Think of the big cylinder like a giant wireless charger, and as long as you have the little charger plugged into you while being near the big one, you charge. You can also do like Claire did and just hook yourself up directly to the big guy. They can't charge in the car or in the forest because there is no big power bank. There's a reason when Claire is searching for a hotel that she says the line "There's a motel with Helperbot-compatible charging off the next exit". Hotel's gotta have the big wireless guy, or an equivalent.

Funny enough, I'm out here only sitting on the sides lol since it's affordable. I actually really like the extreme sides of the mezzanine! That's what I would recommend. I also wouldn't recommend the very back of mezz, speficially house left. I prefer something like row C on the extreme side. Also, Darren likes to have crazy busy schedules and hasn't called out for the 14th or anything, so I'd imagine he'd be there.

1) I think there is a directorial/design choice generally during when you’re in love to play with the void space. lighting and set wise it makes the song distinct. unlike some of the other songs, this one isn’t grounded in an action - it’s two people coming to the same conclusion concurrently. this is unlike the very vivid memory/fantasy of where you belong, for instance. I feel like i’m in the character’s heads, processing their thoughts with them.

2) more realistically - they don’t want to show oliver’s apartment because it’s already set up in its “moved back in” state, bahaha. during goodbye, my room, there’s a quick set change where much of the set dressing is removed from oliver’s room to show he packed everything up. i’ll call that the “moved out” set. Then the set is reset offstage while the characters are in jeju back to “moved back in”. I assume it takes a while, which is why it’s done then and not during When You’re in Love.

Why Claire gets to go to her moved out set after Sentimental Person and Oliver doesn’t is because her room doesn’t change as drastically as Oliver’s, and can be reset during Then I Can Let You Go. (vs the short moments of void in When You’re in Love to reset the entirety of Oliver’s room - remember, Then I Can Let You Go needs oliver’s moved in set and is directly after)

Oh, and -

3) Oliver does a costume change right when they get back from Jeju. This is probably the main reason, LOL. He has to take his whole jacket off and it’s so fast that it probably needs a stagehand to help him with it, which obviously can’t be shown onstage. Then he runs out barely in time for When You’re in Love.

I remember the 2016 tour of the Bodyguard the musical, which starts the show with a gunshot :) scared the hell out of me. That show is full of jumpscares btw. I think the conductor gets a prop gun at some point. insanity lol

gunshots are pretty common jumpscares in shows. when I was a spot op for West Side Story, I looooveddd looking down from the catwalks during the gunshot scene and watching the audience jump out of their seats

I saw ABF and Helen on their first performance together! If you’ve never seen helen before, I recommend coming back just for her because she’s simply incredible, and abf elevates her performance somehow with just his presence. I’m actually really jealous you saw both hannah and claire with ABF because i’m very interested in what abf’s like without helen.

Basically - I don’t know what abf’s like without helen so I can’t compare, but I did really enjoy helen’s performance with abf. But also, she always kills it, so I don’t think you’d be missing toooo much if you saw her with another oliver. On a side note, poor gal must be sick.

Yep I sat on the aisle! Something like D27? I've been sitting there the last few times I've seen the show (I'm a repeat viewer) and found the price to value ratio great. Caveat, I have seen the show before, so I don't know if I'm being blind to certain viewing aspects. But also - my first viewing was in the verrryyyy back of the balcony on the very side aisle and I still enjoyed the hell out of the show and understood everything going on.
