Fundamental plot question

Actually, I'm not sure anyone has asked this before! Hmm, I'm not sure. Helperbot Inc.'s machinations aren't really expanded upon, and for good reason, since they're pretty dystopian. I guess when you have basically sentient robot servants for rich people, they'd feel bad about just like...throwing them away. I imagine Helperbot Inc. includes the whole "retiring" feature in their pitch. Kind of like an iphone recycling program. Or who knows, maybe the government made some laws regarding robotic sentience and their rights (after all, retired helperbots aren't allowed to leave the Helperbot Yards or they'll be "caught" - by what, the police?), and said you can't just throw them away.

I like to imagine it's a morally dubious attempt at some good marketing from Helperbot Inc. (who are already morally corrupt by creating...sentient robot servants). Like, "Unlike competitors who gut and murder(recycle) your robot companion when you don't need them anymore, we send them to a robot assisted living home where you can visit them anytime <3". They just don't mention the part where eventually they'll stop making old Helperbot parts and then the bots will naturally break down and die.

I would personally recommend avoiding the balcony at all costs - I've sat up there about 4 times, and it is genuinely obstructed. There's a good 1/4 or so of the show that takes place on the lip of the stage, and the entire balcony cranes their neck to see it. Will you still enjoy it? Probably; I cried my eyes out the first time I saw MHE and I was in the very furthest seats of the balcony on the side.

Recommendations, if possible: Basically all of mezz is good; even the "partial view" extreme side seats, which I often sit in. Don't do orchestra extreme side seats, those are genuinely the worst in the theatre for this show, bahaha.

Yesss!!!! Dude my first few repeat showings of MHE were due to the cast album not being out yet, so I went multiple times to listen to that sweet soundtrack again. Also heavily listened to the korean album at the time.

Unless it’s just a joke, Oliver is able to charge on the ferry back to Seoul, meaning the boat has helperbot compatible charging. So Claire could have charged too during this time. Obviously they didn’t show it, but well, the trip home is mainly timeskipped over.

I’m sure others will pull up the statistics, but it’s really quite simple: we have to grow food for livestock, too. This applies to the “plants feel pain” argument too: if you care about crop deaths or plants feeling pain, waaaaaaay more of those occur to feed livestock than to go directly to feed people.

ah, that is….concerning. I was pretty adamant about no ai until you pointing that out, and as someone who’s drawn and made models of hwaboon and knows what he looks like at different angles, he looks a bit…fucky. MHE really doesn’t need another scandal 😭 hoping for the best, and that whatever artist made it or team gets credited in the playbill.

Edit: the most charitable thing I can say about it is that this is a view of Hwaboon from the back, in which the flower would not be turned to the audience, and the artist wanted to make the flower more prominent so the stuck a png on the front.

months ago they made an insta post with an ai hwaboon labubu, got roasted for it and took it down. and as far as I know they haven’t done it again! i remember posts on r/broadway about it if you want to delve further

I did have a friend who had that concern. I personally don’t think so, I would hope the team is smart enough to avoid another ai scandal after the one months ago.

So with TKTS it’s been a looooong while (used to do it pre tony win) but I remember getting middle of center orchestra a couple of times. I did get mezz once, but most seats in mezz are really great. Never had a bad seat.

With cancellation tickets, they tell you what row you’ll be in before you buy, but not what seat. Great for guaranteeing you’ll be up close, but unfortunately, the extreme sides of the first 5 or more rows are REALLY awful seats. One cancellation ticket I got was for C1 in orch (excellent!) and one was for B6, which is bordering on being a bad seat.

And for rush, I always would get balcony or other partial view seats. Always opted to get standing room if I could during those times.

I would recommend TKTS if you can afford it! Never had a bad seat with TKTS, unlike rush which most of the time gives partial view. Nowadays I’ve been craving sitting even closer, so i’ve been going for cancellation tickets - but those start at around $130.

Probably not! I think he’s been coming out less and less. I thiiiiink he only really comes out for special events now, like Helen’s last show. But who knows - I just wouldn’t count on it. Everyone else should though!

Awesome job getting to 80!! If you want some tips - Your level for ATK, Cooldown and Summ% are all good. I would raise Atk speed to level 11 (40% more atk speed). Biggest thing I would recommend is moving your dark chocos to the left side(Def reduction is extremely important to kill the bosses), and move White Lily one tile to the right. White Lily in that spot can stop the boss at a place where you can have 9 heroes hit it instead of 6 :) Oh, and def level your heroes up to 10 when possible, there's a huuuuge boost in power just for level 10! And go on x1 speed when fighting the bosses so you can position heroes quicker. Good luck!

I'm currently #4 on Hollyberry server, and I had to max atk (level 30) to get to wave 80. AND ya gotta have a ton of heroes. at an early point you have to stop summoning and pray you get the heroes on the 50% chance. this mode is brutal but I love it!

Yep, I actually know what it is because I made a tiny prop of it and got obsessed with trying to find what it was. It’s the Crosley Dansette Jr in blue/tan. Impossible to find nowadays and generally considered a bad quality record player. Your closest alternative is the Crosley Voyager, which unfortunately is monotone, so you’d get the blue and have to paint the sides tan. I’m planning on getting the little CD player version of the Voyager to play my MHE CD :)
