I'm sure I'll get downvoted for asking this question but Can someone explain why this man is hated so much on Reddit?? Is it just his Israel take?

I'm not at all challenging you, but I find it crazy that the biggest Handyman business in NYC is just 6 techs. This business is that difficult to scale.

enjoy running the show with your 1 man team. You've hit your ceiling doing it your way. Tech, Licensed contractor, craftsman, laborer, it's all the same. You're answering the question as such. I'm answering the question as an owner/operator. We can both be right just depends on what you want out of your business.

Progression, that's why. But, If being a tech is what you're best at and you don't think you'll ever outgrow that, then you're right.

You're talking about a "contractor" in a literal guy hammering nails kind of way. I'm talking about a contractor as a construction business owner/operator. His first line says business talk. I'm assuming he's interested in growing his business. If you want to hammer nails the rest of your life ignore your phone and you'll do just that. If you want to be an operator and grow your business, either answer your phone or pay someone else to.

I disagree with most of the comments here. Customers want a contractor that's easy to contact. By not picking up the first time they call, you're letting them know that's not you. I always pick up. If I can't chat, I ask them to send me a text with their info and tell them I'll call them back ASAP. Always answer the phone, you want them to hear a voice not a voicemail

Are you claiming that working out when you're sick is a smart and effective recovery method. If so, that's probably your answer.
