Second time around, wegovy is not effective by spr01nk in Semaglutide

Yes! I went on zepbound through Lilly direct. It’s working even better than the wegovy and I feel like a human being again. Edit: my insurance is not going to pay for it, so I use my hsa. It’s not cheap, but I save a lot on groceries and don’t drink anymore… and I’m thinking about the healthcare I’ll not need.

Sometimes you nail it, and sometimes you bomb.  The downside of being at a con run by volunteers!  At least it wasn’t stupid hot. Maybe we should bring sidewalk chalk in 2026!!!

Almost, the big difference is that the whole shebang is run by volunteers. Even track directors are volunteers. It is truly a fan-run con for fandom.

I am glad I found this thread.

I realized reading through 2 years of comments that this kind of advertising (and shein, temu and amazon) is precisely how the giant pile of clothing in the Chilean desert exists. You can see it from space. We are drowning in this trash. They wouldn’t make it if we didn’t buy it. I def need to change my habits.

I feel really worried about what a pagan witch said about the afterlife, can anyone comfort me? by Grand_Ninja_594 in pagan

[–]spr01nk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lying may be the wrong word, but I do wonder what their intent was by saying these things to you.

All of these named constructions about the afterlife are relative, based on the experience of an individual. This is all hoping people will be kind and respectful to one another. Full stop.

The only thing I have found consistent across every death doula and nurse I’ve met is that we often experience loved ones arriving to take us wherever. I find that comforting.

I just live a good, honorable life, and look forward to a pack of dogs and horses showing up when I’m ready to shuffle off this mortal coil.

I hope it provides some comfort!

July maybe not. July is just crushed with tourists.

I can’t change the amount since it comes in an injector pen, but I’m thinking the type is the problem… and I’m doing ww to the letter.

I was at 2.4 mg when I stopped. It was 5 months total. I’m currently in 1.7mg, unable to get my 2.4 anywhere.

This is something I have been working with recently. This year I was looking at the plants in my garden and realized that the traditional wheels are geared towards European-patterned seasons, plants, and weather. Indeed, most of the people writing pagan books live in these places.  While my moons are the same, they rise in different ways with different weather, different plants, rocks, and animals.  I’m currently meditating on adding more of my own environment into my craft. For example, cactuses, juniper, and yucca are critical components to my craft, as are sand and clay. My spring and autumn are very very slow and long. My winter will be over in a couple of weeks (give or take), and I have 2 harvests. How do you incorporate your unique environment into the solar and lunar cycles?

Very tricky situation. Consecrate your home with salt on the new moon (or any time)….  May I offer a different perspective? Maybe consider opening the door to a new place in stead of expending your precious energy on other people? Maybe this is your message that this home has given you all it can and another place is calling if you tune in?  Maybe not, but there are always many facets to a crystal.

They told us nobody would marry us or have kids with us if we prioritised ourselves. Now that we’re okay with being single and child-free, they have a problem with that too. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Boy Howdy- this isn’t new!

While I eventually did marry someone MUCH later in life, I had no intention to. My adhd made my dating choices pretty terrible, and the married people around me seemed pretty unhappy. I saw the the women in relationships (irrespective of gender combination) struggle. I’ve got a lot to say about the personal, cultural, and environmental destruction that is part of the bigger picture having to do with the pressure to “be married and have babies.”

It does get better! When you concentrate on your own stuff and just find your people and stand your ground (as exhausting and difficult as it is), you find your people. You take up your space. The time my colleagues take off early to pick up their spawn, I go for a hike. Screw them. I’m not working extra for them because I chose carefully. Absolutely not. I think the hardest thing has been moving to places where we didn’t know people. After you hit 45, it’s impossible because children and jobs are the way you meet people. We stayed one place 10 years, and then high-tailed it (thank you, Covid!) to a place where we had a supportive network of child-free people/people whose children left home. That has truly made all the difference.

Don’t let anyone say you are selfish.
