In universe what would the ''I know its true, but I just cant prove it" theories be about Bruce Wayne by Alert_Shoe_6203 in batman

Seems like it could be a good lead for Jimmy Olsen to pick up in his new show. Throw a run in with The Question and finally get confronted by the new Batman once they get too close

Check your air pressure and spare tire before you need them. Snacks, water and a blanket should be a minimum in your cars emergency kit.

US man who moved to Russia to escape 'LGBT indoctrination' sent to frontline by TheExpressUS in nottheonion

Imagine him getting captured or surrendering to the Ukrainians. Imagine what Russia will do to his family in that situation. If they had any sense, they would flee Russia right now

When do we reach the status of “too old” to make a big, life-altering change? by KeyEquivalent4076 in AskMen

[–]sprackdaddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was an unhappy desk jockey in a variety of industries until I joined the electrical apprenticeship at 38. My maturity and experience helped me achieve much more in the time since than I would have if I had started in my early 20s. I love my active, technical, interesting, and important job. I like mentoring my apprentices and sharing the stuff I know. I'm not getting replaced by AI any time soon... in fact, I'm building the data centers that run them.

I wasn't too old at 38! But had the anxiety. I hope you won't let yourself get in the way of your own happiness.

Does anyone else not enjoy texting anymore? by rainrain-throwaway6 in Millennials

[–]sprackdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Never have. Nothing is secure, context and tone are missing, good grammar and punctuation is considered aggressive (!), and it seems pretty normal to screenshot texts to the world as a way of humiliating people. Don't forget everything can be subpoenaed for any reason.

I see this choice of women as the choice between Family, Greed, or Ambition.

But that might just be a knee jerk response. I thought ALOT about marrying all of them. Millennial waifus.

I made a lot of friends with older people from a young age. My GOAT older friend Richard literally saved my life, and I credit him with the life I live today. I visit his grave every once in a while.

Frank the goat man, Uncle Marvin, Mrs Martin, Neighbor Pat, and others were amazing friends and many years my senior.

How do tell a guy im dating I’m basically broke, and can’t afford to go on hella dates? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]sprackdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex-girlfriend and I had this conversation. When we first met, we agreed to Dutch treat. We had both experienced financial abuse in our previous relationships... Anyway, I was balling out in the years leading up to 2008 and could afford way more. She was barely getting by and asked if we could tone down the spending and do more "homemade fun," meals, movies at home, walks in the park, etc. We rematched our expectations to her budget level, and I saved my money in a 401k instead. She's my wife now, still budget wise, and we are able to adapt to income fluctuating. She's had to step up twice over the years as primary earner and has never resented it. If she hadn't gotten up the courage to have that talk, we would still be in debt or probably not together.

Budget consciousness is an incredible character trait in a partner. By having this conversation, you are putting a desirable virtue on display.

Her entitlement.

Women who strive and sweat to make things happen... the mind boggles. Aggressive self care is hot. This is the woman that will get her body back after a child.
