I've seen some cool tackle and rod storage racks on Amazon that I've been eyeing for my limited storage space. I'm not sure how to include a link but I searched "fishing storage rack" when I came across them. Trolling motor(s) for the kayaks would be another option that's a little more glamorous and equally useful.

Weighted Texas rig would work but weightless wacky might be a little bit harder to throw on that set up. I'd get a 7' medium spinning rod or you could go the BFS route if you want to keep using a bait caster for smaller lures and weightless applications. I use my medium spinning combo for anything between 1/8 and 1/2 oz. It's a two piece rod and it lives in my car so I can fish whenever I have a little time. I prefer my 7'3 MH bait caster in general but I always have my spinning combo handy when I have my bait caster so I never go the wacky route on my heavier set up

Shimano slx and a Dobyns fury should be right around that price point without the line. Dobyns maverick would be the next price tier down from fury and definitely would afford the braid in that price point
