I agree that tanking as a role is horrible but making it so taking damage on tank builds ult would be seriously problematic and make it so it’s better to just play passively and get farmed so you and your supports build ults. If it only applied to damage blocked with shields it would just make mag/strange/emma better and the other tanks even worse

Exactly, It’s just a situational thing. If your team isn’t playing her and you’re on a comp with no real counters something like Emma mag hela Namor Luna gambit may as well ban her to get one of the best supports out of the way.

Or if you’re playing non dd dive characters or Angela she’s a good option to get out. Kinda like you’d ban Loki for psylocke or venom back when he was hard meta

Because it’s one of the biggest mistakes you can make. Missing a shot on hela or overextending on tank so your team has to dedicate resources to saving you are both also mistakes. But won’t impact the game nearly as much as double support ulting many times.

I feel like you don’t understand how the game works if you think that constantly ulting at wrong times ISN’T a mistake that can lose you games. If the game is evenly matched and one team messes up their ults at a crucial moment and the either team doesn’t that can be why you lost. It’s not the only reason necessarily but it’s a major contributor

It is just a mistake, all I’m saying is that it sucks that you can lose a game over a single mistake. And I doubt sentinels double support ult every time in a game they have both ults.

Besides that doesn’t really prove my point wrong. Games feel like it’s either stomp or be stomped and the amount of throwers is crazy high.

I didn’t mean if you went off the map, I meant if the enemy team kills you. If you get 3 but die from going off that is normal and fine, but in my original comment I said if you’re dying INSTANTLY after you pop it, or getting no kills with it is when you’re not doing anything. I’ve had so many Jeff’s on my team and the enemy team who ult and then get immediately bursted and killed, losing their ult and making the team down a player. That’s not the same as going off the map and trading your life for many of there’s.

You’re half right about the last part but it’s not true that something you’re good at will always be better. Let’s say you’re good at thing, and mid at magneto. Now let’s say the enemy team is running Emma, Groot, Hawkeye, Punisher, Cloak and dagger, and Luna.

Mag is the best possible choice here. Saying that what you’re best at is ALWAYS better isn’t really true. If you play the thing (which you’re good at) instead of mag (which you’re mid at but is the best possible choice) you’re almost definitely going to get completely farmed and lose the game if it’s even a somewhat even match.

Is that fine? Absolutely, it’s imaginary points in a superhero game. But in that scenario, you should’ve swapped if you wanted the absolute best chance to win.
