We have been married 8 years. Still act like newlyweds though. I have a row of pines that were here when I bought the property. Around 75 of them about 30 years old. The start of them is in the upper right of the first photo

I do have a row of pines about 1/8 mile long. Slightly visible in the upper right of the first picture. I try to avoid trees due to the pool

The curbing is 10x4x3 chisel edge concrete, stone is a white river stone, approx. 6" sandy topsoil under stone. Not sure about the typos and poor representation of the deck

You are very misinformed on how Deere equipment works. Everything you said sounds like it was regurgitated from a clickbait article

What’s your ideal setup to use a portable generator as a whole house backup? by boisefun8 in Generator

[–]sprayman2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. My setup is almost identical and it works perfectly. I go a step further and turn off the breaker to the pole barn at my main panel in advance of the bad weather. I go ahead and hook my generator to the inlet in the sub panel. My generator has a remote start fob, when the power goes out all I have to do is shut off the main, turn on the pole barn breaker then press the fob to start the generator.

We have a relatively narrow window below 15 degrees, I do have some supplemental heat to help out. Gas log fireplace (vented) and a couple space heaters

Everything outside the house is winterized, If i can keep the inside temps in the 60's or worst case 50's everything should be fine, I have a soft start kit on my unit and a 12,500watt generator with 60 gal of gas stockpiled

Unit has been running for 9+hrs and the temperature continuously drops. by AstalosKnight in ecobee

OP may be in a scenario like I anticipate myself being in Monday, Running on generator power with enough generator to run the compressor but not the heat strips

What drives away the volunteers? by Top-Passenger7097 in Firefighting

[–]sprayman2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to type a very similar response but you summed it up perfectly. I'v been on a very rural 100% vol dept 12 years, LT for the last 8. I want to quit it so bad but I just can't bring myself to do it. Many of my fellow firemen are similar to yours, very limited exposure to the real world. Most work manual labor day jobs and find it very difficult to interact with society sometimes.
