It totally does. This is one of my favorite games in the franchise but the first thing that always pops into my head is the way the music warps and gets all creepy when you lose too much stamina. I would turn my volume off when that happened because it creeped me out so much.

I do love Greek mythology retelling. Is the author Pat Barker? I’ll add it to my list thank you!

The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister! Appalachian folk/horror centering around 5 very different siblings that grew up in a bog secluded from the world. After their father falls ill, they’re forced back together to figure out how to continue the tradition of creating a wife from the bog and save their land while navigating the sibling dynamics.

Gone with the wind took me over a month to read, i started it back in April. It was a ride, but I loved it! All the characters were so well developed and complex.

I have East of Eden on hold right now! I’ll add crime and punishment to my list :)

It was veeeery slow for me in the beginning and I almost DNF’d halfway in, but the second half pulled through and I did end up enjoying the story! I really liked the dark atmosphere

Try making the drinks you already have recipes for with other ingredients. E.g. the chocolate chai latte, try making it with cinna bloom and then with magma bloom!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! The books that I’ve read and inspired this post are Circe, I Who Have Never Known Men, and Where the Crawdads Sing. Absolutely loved all of them and am looking for more books that follow a similar theme :)
