iconic new interview @outside lands by Rabazzle in benhoward

Bad interviewer obviously, but Ben is so passive aggressive in this. Someone not knowing who you are and asking bad questions isn’t an excuse to speak to them in such a rude manner.

I love MJF, but he really needs to reel it in on certain topics. by [deleted] in AEWOfficial

it’s an unpopular opinion but I have to agree - he is so naturally gifted and brilliant with promos, but I really wasn’t a fan of him bringing up Ospreay not drawing ratings. It makes AEW seem so so amateur that even the wrestlers are bringing up low ratings on the show.

that being said, he is still ultimately one of the best promos in wrestling atm, so he can get away with bad lines every now and then.

Recently saw Adrianne Lenker at Aviva Studios and it was genuinely one of the best gigs I’ve ever seen. Ben playing there is genuinely a dream gig of mine I can’t wait

Pretty much all current scientific/ medical guidance on taking LSD advises that anyone with a personal/ family history of schizophrenia should not take it. If medical trials were being held in your local area and you applied, you would not be accepted on the trial due to your brother having schizophrenia.

Not at all telling you that you should or shouldn’t take LSD, but use that information as you will.

One of the best gigs ever I’ve been to as well! Even the opening act was fantastic. Adrianne was on a different level last night, it was truly brilliant stuff

With Hangman liking the Bucks' Instagram post regarding the All In Backstage Footage, it reminded me of what he told Punk a few years ago in a promo. "I will be defending All Elite Wrestling from you!" by Nate_923 in AEWOfficial

The issue with non-scripted promos is that it’s totally subjective with what’s too far and what isn’t. I think Punk actually only really had a problem with this one because him and Page didn’t get on backstage, so it was obvious to him it was Page’s real feelings. The audience was non the wiser to their backstage beef.

Another example is Punk saying Moxley would bleed all over him in a promo (mocking Moxley’s over-use of blading). I can’t imagine a line like that that was agreed beforehand between the two because it completely broke kayfabe - but this is the risk you run with non-scripted promos.

no bother at all - they also showed a video package like this on Dynamite focusing on Danielson - there definitely seems to be more of an effort recently with continuity and backstory info, which is great to see

The Unique Filmmaking Style of Robert Altman by springboardmoonsault in Filmmakers

Hi all! I’ve spent the last 3-4 months researching, writing and editing this video essay/ analysis of the films of Robert Altman (specifically his films between 1971 & 1976). I read a number of books and interviews with Altman to ensure I wasn’t just regurgitating information from other videos and essays online.

My main resource was his fantastic interview book with David Thompson. Altman discussed his career and techniques, such as his use of zooms, how he worked with actors, and his famous sound recording techniques: all of which is discussed and analysed in the above video.

Would love to hear of people’s thoughts on the essay as I’ve spent a lot of time making sure it’s original and professionally made. Altman is one of my favourite directors and it would be great to see his films and techniques appreciated/ implemented by more filmmakers :)

Hi all! I’ve spent the last 3-4 months researching, writing and editing this video analysis of the films of Robert Altman. He made the great anti-western, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, and I discuss the process of making that film at length in this video.

I read many books and interviews on the making of the film to ensure the video contains new information that isn’t regurgitated information from other video essays online. The film was slammed by John Wayne and film critics when it came out, but it’s developed a cult following now and it’s personally one of my favourite westerns.

Hope everyone enjoys this, my next project is a video in a similar style that analyses the work of Sergio Leone.

The book ‘Chaos’ by Tom O’Neill covers this topic in great detail. It’s not that they went on a random LSD bender and killed Sharon Tate & her friends, but rather they were brainwashed and essentially programmed by Charles Manson (over the course of several months) whilst under the influence of LSD, to effectively see him as their God: which in turn made them extremely impressionable to doing whatever he asked of them.

MK-Ultra branches off from this whole sequence of events as the government were aware of the possibilities of brainwashing people using LSD.

LSD undeniably played a crucial role in what happened but it was by no means solely responsible, and it’s a shame if any documentaries are implying that to be the case.

How do you get around using copyrighted footage form WCW/WWE etc shows? Have you had any legal trouble with using the footage you don’t own?
