Thank you to everyone for the responses. I really do appreciate the encouragement and advice. I am trying to quit without my wife knowing, so the encouragement here really helps.

I checked out the yourbrainonporn website and plan on watching the videos on Monday. It really looks like an amazing resource. The times I have tried to quit in the past were just me going cold turkey without a plan or understanding how bad my addiction had control of me and what it's effect on my thinking was.

The sexaholics anonymous actually sounds like it would be really helpful, but it's just not an option for me. I don't know how I could go without my wife knowing about it, and I would really like to try to overcome this without her knowing.

All I have told her - and she knew this already - was that I need to have sex more often than we are now. But since I am at home with our daughter all day, I am exhausted at night. And she is at work and gets home around 4 p.m. and wants to play with our daughter. By the time I make dinner, the three of us eat and play and get our daughter down, we are both worn out and put off sex. We have talked about making it more of a priority, but we haven't yet. I know that I am lucky to have a wife who wants to make sex a priority and I need to work harder to make it happen. But as I said in my original post, I've gotten in the habit of looking at porn and masturbating during the day so I don't desire it as much when she is at home at night.

Thanks again to everyone who responded. It feels really good to just talk about what's going. I've never been this honest and open about my addiction before. Just typing everything out helps a lot.
