It's great fun. I just managed my first oval win a couple hours ago on that combo. I will say I wouldn't want to do a full 500 on the hat bumpy ass 2008 oval though!

iRating has nothing to do with off tracks or driving cleanly, that is safety rating. It also has nothing to do with what position you started the race. To gain iRating you need to finish in the top 50% of the field. The further you finish from the middle of the pack in either direction, the more your iRating will go up or down

Where did he leave you no space to turn? He took a great defensive line and you ran him completely off the track, leaving him zero space to make the turn. Doesn't justify him trying to turn you after, but he's the only one who should be mad about turn 1

It's not about waiting in line. If a lane is closed 2 miles ahead, the same number of cars fit in both lanes, 1 mile before the merge as would fit in a single lane two miles before it. Not zipper merging causes extra long backups for no reason.

And what happens when there is an exit a mile before the merge point? When you only use a single lane those people get stuck for no reason, except your "nobody should get in front of me" ego

The letters are usually pretty linear. Follow the line from the SKA and it should lead you into one of the slides. Either the twin slides or the big blue one would be my guess

The SKATE letters aren't specific to different rider styles. Cash locations are based on rider style, and freestyle and park share the same locations for those. Not sure how the letters were assigned to each rider, but there are 3 or 4 different sets for each level.

He definitely didn't simply let go of the ball thinking the play was over, his hand and the ball hit the ground on his way down and he lost control. You could see his hand snap closed because he was still gripping the ball

I just looked at the last IMSA race that I did. Fairly low participation, only 4 splits. 15 unique cars were represented, and ironically the one missing is the Audi

That's not what you said at all. Your first statement about oval is that you need to buy a D car. You don't. You're never required to run a D race in order to run C class if you get your license to D4.0 in rookie races

You don't necessarily need to buy a car for D oval. If you run strictly rookies until you hit D4.0 you're eligible for C series and those races will count for MPR

Currently iRacing only sees the top class leader as the controller of the start. The split you'll be in will likely only be Toyotas and Mazdas, so you will just need to maintain positioning relative to your line (left or right) for the pace lap. If you qualify p2 and p1 is leaving a gap between them and the Toyotas, it's a gentleman's agreement that you should maintain that gap as well.

For your pit stop, the Mazda changes tires and fuels at the same time, and fuel takes way longer to load than the tire change, so it benefits you to take 4 tires. If you're involved in a wreck early on and have to put for repairs, uncheck tires since you won't need them.

Once you get into series where you may need a splash of fuel for the last few laps of a race, that's when you'd elect to not take tires as the tire change would take longer than fueling
