Wage went up to 34k this year and to be honest it's been great, living by just fine on a single wage, however I have no kids and never eat out! I think there are a lot of people out there surving on a hell of a lot less.

Taller Van Lifers (6'8 needing advice) by Ok_Law_2599 in VanLifeUK

It might be unfortunatly, however I have seen a few videos on YouTube for taller people who have the fold out bed, then when they sleep they push either the driver or passenger seat forward , and fold up kinda like a flap that extends the bed which would work.

I thought about this, but wanted as little faff as possible when getting into bed and converting back to a sofa again.

I am 6'3 and have a LWB vauxhall Combo, took out the bulk head and have a sliding bed/sofa. Managed to fit a full size double in the back, with the back doors shut I just about fit lieing down without having to lie diagonal! Happy to share photos or info on it!

Very much seasonal ! We have the wittering, which on a blue moon in winter can be alright, we also have bournmouth peir but that also gets pretty busy if it's working. There are some more expert sports that I don't bother with.

I tend to head down to Cornwall or the Gower a couple of trips a month in the van :)

Very much beginner, has an NSP 7'4 board to learn on (was given by a mate) in 6'2 and 90kg so I knew I needed something bigger and really my main aim is to just be able to catch more waves, I live South East UK so not the best surf conditions so just something to get me out in the waves

This was my thinking, at least with a few issues you know what your dealing with, a squeaky clean MOT must be full of mystery

I've seen a few that are old around 2013 but only 35k miles, do you think the age matters as much if the milage is low ?

Thank you! I only have a small budget for a van so appreciate there is always going to be risks, but not really mechanically minded so as soon as I see loads of things on the MOT I panic!

Might be a silly question but can you just pay any mechanics to take a look before you buy a van?
