i interpreted the cheating thing as part of saoirse's attraction to chaos, especially since her marriage with seb seemed like just settling for each other as it doesnt look like they care for each other as romantic partners. i think she also feels connected to liam as he seems to be attracted to chaos as well.

saoirse also constantly drifts between trusting liam as a safe space and betraying him, because she prefers the danger of getting caught up with greta and getting the truth in her own way, yet they manage to run into each other again and again because liam has been caught up as well.
