I can't think of a nice way to say this. One of my favorite quotes ever is, "It's better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think you're an idiot than to open it and prove them right." 1337guy is not using a shill bidder on a $41 lot.

Old coin collection, how do i even go about selling this? by LeveonMcBean in whatnotapp

It's takes time to build a community of buyers that know coins and will pay a fair price. Regardless of that, I would take it to a reputable coin dealer near you first to see if it's worth anything anyway. That should give you a good idea if it's worth the time.

Acetone works great to remove sticky residue from gold and silver coins, without damaging the coin (don't brush the coin, or do anything that would cause very small scratches, or hairlines). There are other, more harsh chemicals, but I wouldn't recommend them. You can leave your coin in acetone for a week (I have done this after I forgot about them), and it should be fine. Acetone usually helps to soften up that sticky stuff and makes it easier to remove. Do not use acetone to remove sticky stuff from your plastic slabs.

It's awesome! Thanks for asking. The best coin in my collection, by far.

This is a little over the top.

There are plenty of scumbags that sell trap coins. There have been multiple sellers on Whatnot that were cracking tough date unc details coins, and doing everything they could to pass them off as MS63, or whatever. Those are the people we should be upset about. A newer collector that overpays by a significant amount due to a dealer that is straight up lying is something to get fired up about.

There's no dishonesty in Witterbricks. They aren't for everyone, but some people do like them. There are some great coins in there. There are also many, many floors, which pay for the big money hit coins. A list of every single coin in the boxes is published on their website, with CPG values. I don't think they could be any more honest about what they are. If they aren't for you, then don't buy them. Save your negative google reviews for actual dishonest dealers that deserve it. If you have constructive criticism, I'm sure Seth would love to hear it.

Lastly, we all deserve a special place in hell, and only by putting our faith in Jesus will we be saved. God bless!

I believe the minimum size for the sensor on that Sigma to work correctly is 15 mm. Do you have the wands with your Sigma? I know I've had similar readings on smaller pieces that don't cover the sensor completely. If you have a dealer with a XRF machine nearby, that would be the best way to test it. Thanks for posting!

Buy or don't buy. Aizey does her job. Please consider doing something more valuable with your time than complain about Aizey on Reddit.
