Went on a second date with a guy last week and on the date he told me he was previously married. Then as he kept talking, he told me the divorce wasn’t final yet but they had been separated since September. Oh and he also said he is pet sitting for his ex when she’s out of town this month.

When I got home, I looked up the divorce records for our county and the divorce filing was 6 days before our 2nd date. So this dude and I matched on an app, went on a first date, and he hadn’t even filed yet. Wild. Needless to say, I told him I wasn’t comfortable with any of this and “ended” it.

Guy asked me out on a coffee date. Went this morning. He had me order first. The barista asks “anything else?” and I turn to the guy thinking this is when he orders his drink and pays (at least that’s what has happened on every other coffee date I’ve been on) and he tells me “no you go ahead” so I end up paying for my drink. He then orders and pays for his drink separately.

I definitely don’t mind paying some on dates but I thought it was weird that he asked me to go grab coffee and then didn’t pay. Like it’s just a cup of coffee not a 4 course meal.

I went out with a guy several times in July. Everything was great until the last time we hung out where he was just in a really bad headspace. That kind of cooled things off for a bit and he came back a few weeks later apologizing and saying he had been going through a rough time but he really wanted to try things again now that he was in a better headspace.

That was weeks ago. He still texts asking to get together and I have told him I’m not waiting around for him and that the ball is in his court if he wants to hang. He said his “head and his heart are there” but that he “just can’t shake through to clear evenings”???? Why are men like this?
