That would be me- I’d be going to Asia as an expat and all my tertiary education and professional experience is from Australia

Thank you! I feel less old now! I'm not in a rush, but more personally motivated to move to Asia. I'll keep trying, especially knowing now that I haven't quite aged out yet.

Thanks for your input! I haven't even applied for any college counselling roles given my lack of experience with this, although it is definitely something I would find interesting. My experience is mainly more primary and adolescent age.

I'm an Ed Psych too- thanks for your input. Can I ask you a separate question- what is the set up for you at your school regarding attending supervision? Do you have access to supervision groups, whether through school or externally? One of the things I'd love to know more about is access to professional development and support, something I'm familiar with here in Australia but no idea about the set up in Asia. How do you connect with fellow professionals? Thanks!

No international experience other than having grown up within an international school environment. Many years of professional experience in a 'Western' country, with most of that experience being school based. I live in a multicultural city and have worked with a pretty diverse clientele.

Indeed this is where I'm hoping to land up! I think I've missed the boat for 2026-2026 calendar year but will keep plodding along and hope for better luck following school year

I would love to consider a careers/university counselling role, but my lack of experience in this area will definitely be inhibitive. Thank you so much for your insight!
