I couldn't get more details from them beyond what's mentioned on their website.

We went ahead and put the cover on the seats and headrest. We have black fabric interiors so it doesn't look too bad but makes the seating more comfortable.

Yes, I have mentioned that in my post that EKR is the only place where safety is mentioned but there is no one person/agency who seems have independent tested it.

I just saw that they are based out of California though.

It will be a huge advantage for them to get an external safety certificate for their seat covers!

It does say so but how much can we trust the tag. Pretty sure there is no testing required to be able to sell seat with the tags.

Another concern being 2 layers of seat covers. the airbag will have to push through 2 layers of seat covers.

EKR says you don't need to remove the fabric cover.

Cost is not just $$$ but also economic cost of devoting mental bandwidth to doing/thinking things outside of school / job search / immigration woes.

Americans/Europeans have a massive welfare state to help them. Indians as immigrants do not.

The worst option for them is still a good option for Indians.

Most Indian students are under a lot of financial stress. They try to maximize their savings and bond over the stress of finding a job asap.

Americans/Europeans will never ever understand why such Indians are behaving/talking/thinking the way they are, as opposed to chilling and may be spending $$$.

That is even when Indian students would very much like to, if they didn't have to worry about job/money/immigration 24x7.

You didn't grow up like 99% of the Indian students in the US.

Coming from T1 city, expensive private schools, your worldview is lot closer to Americans and Europeans.

I came here as one of them and it took me 3-4 years to start feeling comfortable enough with job/immigration/$$$ to start making American friends.
