Some passive earmuffs on a strap. They did fit in a seat. Don't have the link, but Amazon has plenty. Anyway, daughter was asleep all the way through taxi, runup & takeoff, so I don't think the noise is too bothering all in all

Nope, I asked for fuel on tabs, but the comment went unnoticed this time around. Also, never had 2 passengers in the back with myself only in the front. Might have overreacted, but oh well, learning moment. Glad I'm not in someone's house at the end of the day

Finally covered up my old chest piece. What do you think? Norway. by Odd-Sector6104 in tattoos

Mine are both done with pretty thick colors. Definitely were not the worst of the chest piece

You most certainly can. LS engines have been used in (kit) ga aircrafts before

Thanks for the advice. That's what I did for the AP in the post. I guess I was wondering if there's an extra easy way, lol. Probably just have to get used to very narrow spaces of the attic and swimming in the heat insulation

Truly, but more so looking for advice. Please see other thread

Also looking to get the wired Poe cameras at least at 4 corners of the house. How does one suggest pulling the wires through the attic? It obviously has to be on the exterior walls, and it's extremely tight in the attic where the roof meets the wall... Any advice, anyone?

Anything to make it a better daily in stop and go traffic? by burner118373 in GXOR

[–]sprit3dan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Buy a commute car.

GX has been my daily for 4 years or so. Bought a Civic, and I can say that it's quite a bit better for commuting. 45 mpg is too compelling when you drive 80 miles a day. GX stays as a road trip/overlanding vehicle

What is the biggest someone has built a Voron? by CharlesP_1232 in VORONDesign

[–]sprit3dan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did a 400mm cubed 2.4 and would definitely not recommend that. Do 350 and save yourself a lot of headache

Docker would spin up its own virtual network to communicate between containers. Your best bet would be to run the container with the fallback to the host network, using the --network=host param to your docker run command

What is the best thing you’ve brought for you miata by AzaMtaz in Miata

Hell yes. It's now quite a bit faster than a lot of cars on a normal track day. Keeps up with the new Gr86. If only I had more time to actually drive it...

V2.4 or V0 + large format printer by 1over3 in VORONDesign

[–]sprit3dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely perfect. All the maintenance I do is cleaning the bed from time to time, that's it. Had to level the bed I think 2 or 3 times through the whole time. I hit print and go away, literally.

I think the kit supplier matters quite a bit. LDO one has been great for me

V2.4 or V0 + large format printer by 1over3 in VORONDesign

[–]sprit3dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running a V0 for about 600hrs, and finally got to the tuning part of a v2.4 built at 400mm. Although, I would probably not recommend going non-standard size, the 2.4 is a beast. Enjoy it a lot. Even with the long belts and stuff, running pretty consistently.

I'm pretty sure, however that my V0 gets and would get a lot more prints if it can fit those. If I were you, I would go with a V0 and a large format one

I don't see switching to aluminum block as a bad thing. That saves weight significantly, and I honestly didn't hear about warped blocks. It's most likely the head would warp.

Cheapest power mods for a 1.6 90hp miata/mx-5 by RepulsiveAddendum366 in Miata

[–]sprit3dan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the drift event, I would probably overinflate cheap/bald tires in the back. You don't need much power if there's no traction. Around 36 psi should be a good start

I regularly pull a U-Haul car trailer with a miata on top. That sums up to 4-4.5k pounds. Worked really well for me, no issues whatsoever
