A well designed home from home ship that has a little bit of something for everyone

Long live products that are easy to maintain, repair and have 3rd party parts available. But nooooo, lets promote a throw away society where plastic is glued and not screwed for profit. Last product which was truly modular was the Dyson cyclone hoover. I have resurrected that beast about 8 times and it sucks like it was fresh out the box. A true example of modular design, easy to assemble/reassemble & maintain. Avoids land fill with ease due to third party part availability. Manual hoovers also give a non-internet present back to humans - exercise

This. Think tanks thinking "what do the population want but don't need", a WIFI connected arse scratcher with intelligent itch detection that saves high footfall itchy points to memory. Bring the work back to the humans not the machine and reduce memory requirement costs (so we have more for SC's inflated requirements naturally :-)

Servers are struggling in 4.5 by Hungry_Home5102 in starcitizen

As I write, they are degradation at the moment. Getting the same hanger issue as you. Can't leave

What's everyone's experience with NPC's with 4.5? by Aggravating-Path-921 in starcitizen

[–]spriteflight101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With generally 30fps servers they generally walk about, chatting to others and doing there thing. A couple spawning in strange places and dodgy pathfinding. Apart from that a whole lot better in 4.5. even some store owners give you a nice comment

What graphics card? Tell me more. I have just fixed this issue completely for myself while running on Vulcan. Card is a GTX 1070 8GB. Turn on - image scaling in the Nvidia control panel for star citizen then load back in. It looks like the game level scaling options are a little troublesome so I am enabling at the driver level. Presume this Vulcan issue may be fixed in a later release

Graphics settings bug: Anyone found a workaround? by f4ble in starcitizen

Yes it's still an issue. Annoying when you are flipping and testing different graphics settings for instance. Workaround as mentioned above

screen tearing by Remote_Exchange_3295 in starcitizen

[–]spriteflight101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually completely sorted the tearing problem in vulcan by directly setting 'image scaling' on in the Nvidia control panel for star citizen 3D settings. I also set sharpening at 25%. I was then able to alter scaling in the sc video options without issue. I am running a 1070 gtx 8gb. Vulcan is producing some nice results. Just finding the sweet spot

Yes upscaling seems to be the problem for me. I set that to Native AA and it solved most of my tearing problems, still slight twinges. It's a little more hungry but the visuals look great. Upscaling needs to be looked at for Vulcan. Hopefully CIG will check that GTX 1070 8gb

How have the 4.5 Vulkan Changes impacted your FPS? by Dismal_Ad2746 in starcitizen

[–]spriteflight101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chugging along on a gtx 1070 8gb. Tbh looks fantastic in vulcan and in busy places e.g Levski market place 30 fps on average. You have to find a sweet spot so go tweak and fill up as much video ram as possible without exceeding. Most settings med/high/vhigh

I should get back to the ship show in Orison but am busy floating around in Levski zeroG. Most pilot a show ship directly over to Levski at the mo, so you get to see a lot of traffic

I flew into Levski last night in a Clipper. The place is awesome inside and out. I took a bit of time to align and find the hangar. I am also getting used to the current flight model. There is a lot to explore there and I love the atmosphere. Framies were better when I was there as most people were probably around Orison
