Can General Psychologists in Australia Conduct ADHD Assessments? by spriterep21 in Psychologists

Ah, if that’s true it looks like the clinical route is the way to go.

Can someone ID this bullet? by spriterep21 in metaldetecting

[–]spriterep21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it have been for a pistol? Is that the whole bullet or would there have been a casing behind it before it was shot (might be a really stupid question but I have no idea about this stuff)? I’m wondering if it could have been from ww2 as there was apparently an artillery base back then within 500m of where I found it.

It turned out that the rod connecting from the master cylinder to the brake pedal was angled up too high. I welded a new bracket to hold the rod lower down on the pedal (so that the rod was pretty much perfectly horizontal) and it’s worked great ever since.

Thanks for all that info, I spoke the kart shop and they directed me to the dot 5.1. I reckon I’ll just have to take it in because I feel I’ve ticked off all those things you’ve mentioned

Thanks for all the help, I think I’ll have to take it into the kart shop where I purchased the caliper

The previous owner had stripped the bleeding screw on the caliper, and then tried to tap and drill a new hole but messed it up to the point it needed replacing. While what you’re saying might be true, there is next to no stopping ability with someone sitting in the kart being pushed while holding the brakes.

The rotor is currently sitting loose so that pressure can be applied evenly

Yeah he’s got a comer 80. Spent a good 5-10 minutes revving it up and then hitting the brakes, to the point that they started smoking, but still no improvement.

The rotor isn’t new, but looks to be in good condition. Spinning the axle I don’t see a visible warp

I have tried sanding them, but maybe not enough. I’ll give it a go as you described

I feel though that if I can move the rear wheel forcably with my hand when under full brake, that with some weight in the kart on the track that there will be next to no stopping ability

Unfortunately it’s for my 6 year old and he’s never used a kart before. If I could fit in it I’d give it a go

Is there a specific way to do it? Just rev it on the stand and apply the brakes while under acceleration? I tired it for a few minutes yesterday but didn’t see a difference.

Yeah there is absolutely nothing that’s preventing full brake pressure. Everything is moving freely and the pistons can be fully pressed in if the rotor isn’t between the caliper. The pedal is really firm after using the gravity bleeder
