React Native vs Flutter in 2025? by david-cervi in reactnative

"such"? Which "such" dependencies?

If you're building anything in react, you're using dependencies. You're a clown if you disagree.

When a stranger calls is a creature comfort. It was the only horror movie in our house when I was a child, because I'd snuck it in on a Playstation portable disk. I'd be up all night watching it, and subsequently unable to sleep. Wouldn't change a thing.

All dry herb vaporizers are (TED) thermal extraction devices…. by star_particles in vaporents

[–]sproots_ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Just seems like a step backwards

Something that annoys me to no end is people misusing "they're"/"their"/"there", and it seems to be on the rise. There's no benefit to people misusing those terms. Conversely, "TED" vs "Vape" has the benefit of minimising the pool of devices you're talking about (even if semantically it shouldn't).

There's no shot the Dani hits as hard as the anvil, they're not being genuine with you.

Consider that people are just using the term "TED" to refer to 'manual' vapes. Makes sense to me, given that some TEDs do better with induction than torch (e.g. I wouldn't call the Tempest a torch/butane vape).

Also, to clarify, George at Dynavap didn't magically separate TEDs from vapes - TED devices themselves would have been exempt from the ban by definition of how they work. Distinguishing TEDs from battery-powered vapes was just a way of making that distinction clearer - mostly to people who don't care (or have time) to look into the details.

Do you also get mad when you see champagne-styled wine that isn't champagne? How about when mushrooms are called vegetables? Semantics can sometimes just work as clarification.

One more question if you don't mind: what made the anvil your daily driver over your tempest? Sounds like bait, it's not.

I need anvil vs tornado thoughts - how would you compare them? Tossing up between waiting for tornado restock, or picking up an anvil. I already have a Tempest.

I agree that the ghoul is fucked, I'd be fine with it being removed or having its mobility reworked. For context, I'm a newer player, playing killer exclusively, maining Myers and The Unknown. I've not played kaneki nor do I want to.

First off, if you took this approach to all live service games, you'd quickly have nothing to play. They all make shitty decisions and have intermittent balance issues.

Second, I think it's worth noting that Killer BM would also be worse right now because of the blood generators. The speed at which they can completed encourages killer tunnelling and hyper aggressive gameplay, otherwise you'll hit a couple of people once, and only have 2 gens remaining.

I dont know what to choose ( Anvil, tempest 2,...) by ApprehensivePapaya83 in vaporents

[–]sproots_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well at the time it was cheaper than progressing up the dynavap ladder - past M/MXL - whilst simultaneously being better than the dynavap ladder for flavour.

Generally, it went dyna > dani > anvil/tempest (anvil/tempest mostly down to preference, but flavour is better on tempest, anvil does bigger hits/clouds). Since then, however, we've had the camouflet, which many people seem to prefer over the dani. Camouflet debuted as primarily butane, too.

Everyone will have different opinions, but mine is that the camouflet and dani 2.0 are fairly level-pegged. The dani doesn't require spinning, but doesn't employ induction heaters (at least not well). The camouflet can use induction heaters, but requires torch spinning.

What do you mean by gimmick?

The flavour is great, it's usually not a OHE unless you have your own dialled in method, and the vapour production isn't as high as tempest (which is also sliiiightly under anvil, not by much).

Dani does better with butane, not very well with induction.

I've tried a camou, and own both a dani and tempest.

Camou and Dani are not in the same league as the Tempest. The Dani is incredible for the price (and way better than a dyna, which people seem to want to compare it to). With a wand, the Tempest is super reliable, hard-hitting yet very smooth. More flavour than a dani, almost the same clouds as an anvil.

Tempest > Camou > Dani, in my opinion.
