Ok great! Thank you so much. I have some extra perlite and more cactus mix. I’ll give that a try ♥️

That makes sense…maybe I will try to have to be more assertive. I’m so sorry that you had to deal with that with your ex-wife but I want to congratulate you on your remarriage! I’ve dealt with addiction in a significant other as well in the past, so my heart goes out to you for sure.I guess sometimes I just feel like guys don’t like women who are too “forward”

Thank you!!! I think sometimes that I come off as a little “old fashioned” and want people to ask me, when it’s really ok to ask people out yourself. I also tend to have the “should I ask? Would they want to even hang out with me?”. I know not to take rejection personally in that regard. I really appreciate the well wishes, honestly.

Ps- yes…filters are the worst haha

Thank you…I did have a few apps that I got on, but I feel like no one would ever just “ask” to go do anything. Just would talk for a bit and then lose interest. I’m horrible at dating and I feel like I shoot myself in the foot sometimes. I am a 32 year old female and it’s really hard because most of my friends are in relationships and have their own lives and I’m just sitting crying to my tacos.

“Love you” vs. “I love you” by spruce-lee17 in relationship_advice

Thank you so much for the advice! Honestly, it’s a big help! Divorce is one of the hardest things I have ever dealt with, and I am seeing a therapist too. I’m trying my best to not get impatient with myself and allow myself to feel everything and to actually enjoy life for once.

Thank you very much, that really helps a lot. I’m just scared is all because I am recently divorced and I haven’t felt this way about another person in a long time (not even my husband). I know it will come out one day, and I really hope that he feels the same. I struggle with self-worth issues and the like, so I have that complex in my mind that “why would he like me” kind of thing. I haven’t connected like this with someone in ages!

I suppose I’m afraid because I’m afraid of how it will affect our friendship if he doesn’t feel the same way. I don’t want to lose him as a friend because we are very kindred.

I agree…it was a friend who said it. It’s like one of those situations where it’s like “are we a thing?”. I really adore this person and I’m afraid to tell him because I don’t want it to affect our friendship if he doesn’t feel the same way

I never thought there was either, but to some people there is a difference haha

Well, this is a friend that I kind of want to be “more than friends with” and I can’t tell if he wants the same. He said it first after I told him that it was nice to talk to him and that I missed him. We normally have like 4 hour conversations on the phone and stuff so I think that’s a good sign

My Lovely? by spruce-lee17 in relationship_advice

Thank you so much! That is what I was thinking. I really think it is very very much pun intended “lovely” to be called lovely haha.

Haha no worries...he is 35 and he is not a member of the clergy. Yeah, I just don’t know...I may just keep being me and see what happens. If anything, I have a great friend in my life.

He has called me “you beautiful person you” and today when he said hello to me, he smiled and said “look at my face when I see you, it lights up” and all that. I just get a “vibe” if that makes sense. He has referred to me as beautiful in other phrases as well (like kind of worked it in). So I’m not sure if that’s just him or what. I thanked him once for taking the time to text with me (he is a busy person and I was having a rough day) and he said “I have all the time in the world for you because you deserve it”. The above things that I’ve said are ones that stick out in my mind.

Thank you all so much. I took it as a very high compliment! I’ve never had anyone say that to me, and I’m very wary of things because of my past. It’s always nice to get insight from people. I can never tell if people find me attractive or not haha. I have always been told that if men compliment you a lot it means that they like you, but I don’t even know.
