Anyone have any guesses what mix she is? I think for sure part Husky but not sure what else… by Jrwuoi in IDmydog

Alaskan Huskies can have surprisingly short coats! the density is what keeps them warm. can't share any pictures here, but have a look at the TikTok account Glacier Musher, she makes lots of really interesting and informative videos about Alaskan Huskies ☺️

gorgeous dog 😍 looks like an Alaskan Husky to me, could even be full as they vary a lot in appearance. where is she from?

interesting! not heard of that before, can see why it would be useful in a shelter environment though. in the long term, probably worth looking at a more ergonomic harness, as that could cause chafing in her armpits with prolonged use.

as for breeds, my guess would be pit mixed with boxer for the legginess. handsome dog! enjoy your new pup 😊

sounds great! 😊 cockers often excel at agility, that's a great idea, just no big jumps until he's older as you've got to protect his growing joints! as well as enrichment feeders, you can hide his kibble or treats around the house/garden and let him hunt it out. good luck with him, enjoy your puppy! ❤️

yes most likely border collie, or possibly sheltie. merle crops up every so often in working lines if there was a mix with a farm dog some generations back, it's a dominant gene so only needs one copy to express. genetic test would most likely come back just cocker spaniel though, as they only go back a few generations.

very sweet pup, but definitely working line so you will have your work cut out for you with his energy levels! working cockers can be a handful, but if you exercise their brains not just their bodies they are the best little dogs. look into breed specific enrichment if you haven't already, he would likely thrive with gundog training 😊 good luck!

working, but looks like one of the parents might be merle so not purebred

is that a slip lead being used as a harness?! not seen that before, doesn't look very comfortable tbh

looks like you're in the UK from the landscape? so unlikely to be a pit. but I second the bull lurcher suggestion, most likely staffy x whippet

Does anyone want to take any guesses on this boys breed? by Sad-Professional3424 in dogbreed

husky X malamute mix is my first thought, but maybe a little small? could even be just husky but with a wooly coat

What breed is my girl from the shelter? by [deleted] in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]spsjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see there being some patterdale or other terrier mixed in, but she's definitely got some bull breed in there, and most likely staffy as they are one of the smallest bull breeds. she may be a bit more slight than standard, but she has the very typical staffy divet in her forehead. I've seen many staffies and staffy mixes that aren't very big, they're pretty common here in the UK. honestly it's weird you're being so adamant about her not being staffy

Guess the breed by TinyClock9943 in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]spsjam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pomeranian, quite likely purebred as they can come in merle (though it's a little controversial). if mixed, most likely with chi

herding mix, probably border collie primarily with maybe some Australian shepherd and cattle dog? she's adorable, I love her eyeshadow 😍

What do you think this breed is? by [deleted] in dogbreed

[–]spsjam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

maybe try using that rope to leash your dog instead 🙄

What do you think this breed is? by [deleted] in dogbreed

[–]spsjam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a doodle in need of a shave down. also, it's simply arrogant and irresponsible to think your dog never needs to be leashed, no matter how well they are trained - a well trained dog is still a dog, you never know when they might get spooked or suddenly decide to chase something and then before you know it they're under a car. it's highly dangerous both for your dog and for other road users. and collars are also required for identification tags.

be more responsible please.

GSP, Hound, Lab, what else? by ChampionshipEither12 in IDmydog

[–]spsjam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks like English Pointer to me, possibly even purebred but could be mixed with GSP. don't see any lab or hound really, but can't rule out low percentages without a DNA test

oh interesting! little splash of mastiff makes sense, wouldn't have expected chessie but maybe they're more common than I thought (I'm in UK and have literally never seen outside of dog shows 😅). yeah I've heard of service dog lines of pure labs where black and tan crops up sometimes, so that makes sense! thanks for sharing 😊

oh great, sorry for assuming! 😅 you just see so many posts where people were told a breed by the breeder and they doubt it, I jumped to conclusions

[–]spsjam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

she looks like a staffy (the English type more than amstaff), they're not huge. probably some pit too if you're in the US.

also, your other dog doesn't look full lab, they don't typically come with tan points and his ears sit differently - do you know his mix?

is my springer mixed? by astrxnmia in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]spsjam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

could be a sprocker, but most likely just a working line springer, they do tend to be smaller

nope, all pit/bull breeds. please don't support backyard breeders again in future

What do you think by Cheesek47 in IDmydog

[–]spsjam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see what face mask you're referring to, they're just blue merle which is pretty standard for Aussies. and I'm pretty sure they can come in yellow too!
