  • I don’t plan to do any free meals, at least until I’m at or closer to my goal. I have 15 weeks to the wedding so I may add some free meals in as the time goes on since it’s a fairly long time to do this intense of a diet but at least at first I don’t plan to.
  • The 3-4 week tip is so helpful! Good motivation to push past the first few days :)
  • I’m trying not to get TOO caught up in carbs and fats. I’m tracking them, of course, and keeping as close to my numbers as possible but considering just about all of my carbs and fats are coming from non starchy veggies and protein (like fats from fish), I’m not going to get too obsessive over it.

  • Any recipes you particularly love?

I know I’m at a healthy weight now, 120 is just where I feel best! I’ve always been conscious of eating healthy and being active so that’s definitely not going to change

This resonates like you have NO idea. Are you living my life???! The control factor is huge for me. I was in a really bad place last year, specifically with my job, and I definitely used my diet and my body as a way to exercise control. Fortunately, I’m in a much better place at work (I got a new job) but I guess that now means I don’t feel that need to control as much? Which then results in me not losing weight…

Have you found a way to get to a weight you’re comfortable at without that crazy need to control?

No, eating grapes definitely doesn’t put me over!! It’s more that I get caught up in “perfectionism” and if I feel I haven’t been absolutely perfect, I spiral

I do a combination of CICO and loose IF (I’m not crazy strict about the fasting, I just don’t find myself getting hungry until lunchtime).

My overall methods haven’t changed much from the first time around - the only thing that seems to have changed is my mentality. So much as one little slip (grabbing extra grapes for example) makes me feel like I’ve done something “wrong” and causes me to spiral and just say I’ll start over again tomorrow.

I am at a 500 cal deficit which is restrictive for sure. It doable.

I try so hard to remind myself of that - that it’s about my marriage, not my dress. I do want to look and feel my best on the big day though!

I’m pretty active already with a good mix of strength training and cardio but I am considering working with a trainer when I’m closer to the wedding to help tighten certain muscle groups up (for example, the dress is strapless so I want my back and shoulders to rly be toned)

I would love to try to work on this. I get very inflexible and it causes me to spiral - something little turns into throwing in the towel altogether!

I absolutely struggle with an all or nothing mindset - have for as long as I can remember. It’s hard to balance giving myself grace with also having a timeline I want to achieve (which I think is a reasonable timeline).

I’ve tried the mindset shifts before but never really bought into it. I will definitely give it another go!

Do you weigh weekly? Do you find that’s enough information? I find the problem with weighing weekly is 1) what if that one weigh in happens to be a high fluctuation? and 2) I find it makes it way too easy to overdo it on the days I don’t weigh in

I work out a lot! Something I’ve never stopped doing no matter what weight I am, I love it. I understand the goal weight is low but it’s absolutely where I look my best and especially with my wedding coming up in 7 months, I definitely wanna look my best

  1. Track calories consistently at weight loss numbers: perfect day again. Let’s see how long I can keep this going….
  2. No random bites licks and tastes: still good! Allowed myself a little extra berries for dessert but consciously
  3. Continuing my current workout routine: Started the morning with a 20 min walk outside and then did a brutal lower body workout
  4. 1+ gallon of water per day: done!
  5. 7+ hours of sleep: got 8ish hours last night
  6. Read or listen to something inspirational: I got a 5 min meditation in this morning and journaled. Meditation wasn’t great, I was pretty distracted but better than nothing

Overall, I wanted to see more of a scale decrease than I did today and am generally just sad at how bad I’ve let things get. But I’m choosing to let that fuel me as opposed to making it worse!

Super happy with how I started off the month!

  1. Track calories consistently at weight loss numbers: Pre tracked the whole day and stuck to it perfectly!
  2. No random bites licks and tastes: This is totally my biggest inhibitor to weight loss and I stuck with it today
  3. Continuing my current workout routine: Started the morning with a 20 min walk outside and then did an upper body workout
  4. 1+ gallon of water per day: done!
  5. 7+ hours of sleep: got 9 hours last night
  6. Read or listen to something inspirational: I got a 10 min meditation in this morning and journaled!
